Bush finally concerned about Bin Laden.

It's just that some people won't let the truth get in the way of what they want to believe. Even when confronted with evidence showing what's true, they refuse to accept it. Cognitive dissonance.
Yeah like no Democrat would ever say that marriage is to be only between a man and a woman, right? Oh wait, that was done back in 1996 wasn't it when 118 Democrats in the House and 32 Democrats in the Senate voted for HR-3396 and the Democrat President signed it into law.

Not a claim, just a truth that makes your wimpering about Bush seeking an amendment moot.

Not whimpering...merely pointing out that Bush indeed thinks about gay marriage, beyond just giving his opinion when asked. Nothing you've posted has refuted anything I claimed.

I'm surprised you don't know what whimpering is. Huh.

I'm sure other things come up, but these are the things on HIS list. You can click on the link at the top, and that will take you to links for each subject. Please do.

Because, I went to most of them over time, and found nothing the president is doing regarding ending homosexual "marriages".

Meanwhile, in 2004 (the last time I can find where he even talked about it), he said:
Bush called for a civil debate on the controversial issue.

"We should also conduct this difficult debate in a matter worthy of our country, without bitterness or anger," he said. "In all that lies ahead, let us match strong convictions with kindness and good will and decency."

But Bush said the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act and laws banning same-sex marriage in 38 states "express an overwhelming consensus in our country for protecting the institution of marriage."

The Defense of Marriage Act, signed by President Clinton, prevents federal recognition of same-sex marriage, and allows states to ignore same-sex licenses from outside their borders.

"There is no assurance that the Defense of Marriage Act will not itself be struck down by activist courts," Bush said.

"In that event, every state would be forced to recognize any relationship that judges in Boston or officials in San Francisco choose to call a marriage."
The bastard, calling for debate, and to have it be civil!

Watch school house rock some time. You can learn a lot.

Doing something in the Senate would mean actually introducing a "bill." That is the first step in creating a "law."

That's kind of what Senators do if they actually want something passed.

What does the President do when he wants something passed?

What does the President do when he wants something passed?

He would actively seek support from the Senate, and actually meet with Senators so one of them could presnt a bill on his behalf.

Has he done any of that?

And then there's this:
Bush defends call for gay marriage ban - Same-Sex Marriage - MSNBC.com

Calling marriage between men and women “the ideal,” President Bush on Friday defended his decision to seek a constitutional amendment outlawing gay weddings.

“I believed it was important to act because the institution of marriage was being changed by the courts,” Bush said during a White House appearance with German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder. “It’s an issue that’s very sensitive, and the voice of the people needed to be heard. And the constitutional process was the best way to do such.”

Along with this, from the same article:

But Bush stuck by his decision to seek the constitutional amendment.

“I believe marriage has served society well, and I believe it is important to affirm that — that marriage between a man and a woman is the ideal,” Bush said. “And the job of the president is to drive policy toward the ideal.”

So, yes...Bush considers it his job to drive this policy of restricting marriage to heterosexual couples only.

Somebody better call and tell him that's not on the list of his responsibilities.

Haven't seen that aspect yet, when does that start, so far it's been just the whimpering.

What does the President do when he wants something passed?

Educate yourself:

http://www.senate.gov/reference/resources/pdf/howourlawsaremade.pdf

In modern times, the ‘‘executive communication’’ has become a
prolific source of legislative proposals. The communication is usually
in the form of a message or letter from a member of the President’s
Cabinet, the head of an independent agency, or the President
himself, transmitting a draft of a proposed bill to the Speaker
of the House of Representatives and the President of the Senate.

If the President has not passed a legislative proposal to Congress, how can you say he has taken any action to make the law?

It would behoove you to seek out a dictionary.

Oh.

I guess if you don't know what "whimpering" means, "behoove" is way out of your reach. :ohwell:

Get a dictionary. Look up words. Learn.
