It's my understanding that a sale of the Burroughs property is in the works/just getting finalized/whatever. The tenants at the Farmer's Market that I have talked to must know this because they all are looking for a new place to conduct business. I have no clue about McDonald's, Burger King, etc. I assume they have some type of long term land lease. Whatever happens, I hope it benefits the vast majority.

I haven't been there for years, it turned into too many people for me. Too hard to walk around without people running into you or stepping on your feet. I used to go almost every Saturday in the 80s and early 90s. My daughter said she went not that long ago and was disappointed. The places from her childhood aren't there anymore (snowballs, stuff like that). It still will be sad to see it go.

Well heard tonight, everything is going all way to the intersection with Golden Beach Rd. That includes Fred's and that entire property, Old Line, Nancy's and Freds. Besides the motel being knockdown also the entire shopping center. Don't know about the farmers market. The person or the group that bought all that land also bought out Wentworth's. I would think the bank, McDonalds and Burger King would stay. The Diary Queen and car wash or still owned by the Burch's. Heard the Burroughs family didn't want the hassle after their father passed a couple of years back. With what I heard they got for the property they can live happily ever after. I don't want to put the dollar amount out there in case I heard wrong. Charlotte hall is changing, maybe all the rumors several years back about a Walmart might come true now. theres plenty of land to build one now..
