Try Horizon Foods

I didn't think that Omaha Steaks went door to door. My Mom got some steaks from there for Christmas and we ate some of them last week. They were really good.

I have used all these companies.
1. Colorado Prime.......had to buy 6 months at a time...decent quality, but too much and it was financed !!
2. Butchers Choice....total scam !! Hospital grade products,,,,not expensive and shouldn't be...made me think of Murrays Steaks
3. Schwanns- Still use them for snack foods and ice cream....love the french toast sticks !
4. Horizon Foods- ok, this is who I use now. They distribute the REAL OMAHA STEAKS in the peel apart packages. They carry probably about 150 items. I love the Rack of Lamb, and if your a Salmon lover I will guarantee you this is the BEST I have ever eaten.Warning--not cheap...a little pricey but really high end gourmet products. Lots of All Natural products like you would find at Whole Foods. My sales rep stops by every 8 weeks to check on me, no pressure.......and unlike the others everything is guaranteed 100%, I have exchanged 2 items this year that I have tried. Give it a shot

I'm really not trying to hijack the thread but it is on similar topic - has anyone ever purchased anything from Omaha Steaks? I think they had a bad rep at one time but I don't know if they ever gained popularity?

I've gotten a few things from them, mostly as gifts. The only thing I like from them is the tenderloin steaks. They come out perfectly done on the grill. However, if YOU order from them, be prepared for reams of offers in the mail and phone calls looking for business. At one point, after just one order, I was getting 2 calls and 4 mailings a week. I'm finally down to one mailing once a month.

I'd rather go to Nicks and get real steak.

Butcher's Choice Glen Burnie MD - good service-

Saw this old thread and thought I should update.

Butcher's Choice of Glen Burnie provided excellent customer service to me recently. We had a salesman sell us several products. I contacted the Glen Burnie office after reading some very bad press.

Our experience with the product and the service has been very good.

Give them a try if you are thinking in terms of convenience for your meat products. They are offered in individual serving sizes. We find them to be an excellent way of cooking at home and not making more than is needed for the meal.

Omaha Steaks does not deliver door-to-door. You can only order them online.

Figured I'd chime in- They aren't just online/catalog orders, you can also go in the store and buy their stufff. I dont think its the greatest, ESPECIALLY FOR THE PRICE, but okie dokie.

I've never heard of the OP's place, just the Schwanns which I love a lot of their stuff...especially random ice cream things, LOL.. and the guys in the pick-up and obviously Omaha.
