Buying another bike...

Did anyone not pass?

One of our guys dropped his new Triumph on the panic stop part. Automatic fail.

It was a pretty good group. Everyone passed, a couple were probably close. One guy dropped his cruiser in the cone weave during the practice, not the test.

I read somewhere that All American Harley was giving them, but I can't tell you that for sure. Give them a call.

I'll call them when I get home, thanks :yay:

I'm not sure about St. Mary's but you can go the Waldorf MVA. They have classes. I think you can sign up on-line but it was always full for me. So, you can just show up to class the first night and see if they have any "no shows". If they do, you can get it that way.

Or if you still have your learners, just go take the test and skip the class part. That's what my cousins did.

I took mine at CSM a while ago but I know you had to sign up early (Very early, like January). Class filled up quick. They also have a stand by list.

Good Luck

I let it expire a while back, and I have someone else who wants to take it also, so I'll go through the class, doesn't hurt to re-learn some things on a bike that won't be mine anyway

And the CSM classes right now are at the La Plata campus, I'm looking at this fall, and no one has signed up yet for any of them.

Get the best of both worlds like yours truly :yay:

I seen that online, nice looking bike, but not me :ohwell:

That would be the Rocker to me.

I called A.A.H, to ask them a few questions, and he said they should be getting a few Rocker C's in stock here soon, right now he said the ones they are getting are coming out of the box and already sold before they come out of the back...I would like to sit on it and get a feel for it on whether or not I think I could sit on it for 2 hrs on a ride...

The wide glide looks like it would be the most usable

My buddy has one, he works with jbooty, and I really like his, I was sitting on it this morning saying to myself, I've known this boy for almost 20yrs now, and he won't even let me take it for a spin around the base

:lmao:

Not anymore, no temp permits and when the instruction is done rewrite a MSF course is going to be required every 3 years.

Yea I took the Advanced class Monday.
Every three years???? That's plain stupid and the class costs money.

The instructors I know that teach the course at CSM don't work for AAHD. They are certified by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation to teach the MSF approved course and are hired as instructors by CSM

I wonder if he means pass the written part of the test. Which makes about as much sense as having you take you D/L test every three years.

No I mean take the MSF riding course every 3 years so you do not forget how to do an emergency stop, swerve, ride through 20 foot cones.

That thing is probably so jerry rig'd, I wouldn't know how to turn the key :roflmao:

Oh, I thought the guy on the phone with me last night said they are who sponsors the class or something or another, I wasn't sure if that meant the instructors somehow shape or form worked for them or what

That'll be great. Nothing like taking off from work, getting paid for it and just messing around on your bike. If they have started this already, I should be coming up in Nov. I wonder how they will enforce it though? Pass office checks your MSF card when you get a pass so that would do it. I'm going to have to call the safety people and see whats up.

This is :bs: You have to take a days vacation and pay them on top of it to take the MSF course. :bs:

Psst: Don't listen to Pete. This is :bs:

Wide-Glide and The Rocker-C

Anyone have any inputs on these?

The Rocker is different, which is nice. You won't be riding the same HD everyone else has. The Glides have more aftermarket options. I'm not sure how the 96B engine compares to the Glides. HD says it has a touch less HP and more torque.

Were I an HD guy, it would come down to passengers and cargo. Not sure what you can put on a Rocker, the passenger seat looks like a tad small and I'm not sure how you'd add any sort of luggage or bags. If that's not high on your priority list, it's a better looking ride.
