Looks like all the tourers get a a manual. Its the sport models that are locked in to the auto.

Actually, it's an option on 2 of the 3 RT models. Granted, this review is a few months old, but I don't think the options have changed much. That's another reason I want to see it at the dealer; all the reviews are from last year.

The 2010 Can-Am road tourer is available in three versions. The 2010 RT comes in one color, Full Moon Silver, and has a manual transmission. The 2010 RT Audio & Convenience version is offered in Orbital Blue and Full Moon Silver and comes with a choice of gear boxes, either a manual tranny or the semi-automatic SE5 version. The RT-S has a special Timeless Black paint job that isn’t available in the other models and comes with a choice of transmissions as well. The Premier Edition Spyder RT-S roadsters can be pre-ordered with deliveries scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2009.

According to the website the RT gets only a manual, while the RT Audio and Convenience and the RT-S both get either the auto or manual. So all three RT variants can be had with a manual, but only two with the auto.

The tourer is the one I'd be interested in. I may run into Fredricksburg or Mortons to look at it if he has one. Not sure if I'd like the semi-auto tranny... I used an electronic shifter on a quad once, had trouble getting used to it.

Morton's has a more liberal test ride policy than most motorcycle dealers for one.

And it's a longer ride to Morton's.. on a nice twisty road too!

I saw that one at Morton's, Bob. There have apparently been many handling and other enhancements since then, and I think, if I ever go thru with it, I would get a new model.

Doesn't look like finances will allow right now. Rats.
