When I first saw him he was the opening act for the Grateful Dead at the Cap Center, it was a damn fine concert and I knew right then him and the band were going to be one of the hottest bands around. They were unlike ANY band at the time and they were spot on. Rest in peace Mr. Buffet, you done good!

He had a lot of devoted fans. But I never saw the attraction to his music. Sort of like the grateful dead with its' cult like following.
I loved him, but I'd never gotten to any of his concerts. I think he embodied just kicking back, being laid back, and living your best life no matter what you did for a living. I'm seeing a lot of social media posts about contributions he made in many different ways besides music, too.

Michael Gambon, who was known for his role as Hogwarts headmaster Albus Dumbledore in six of the eight "Harry Potter" films, has died. He was 82.
