The V Strom is the first chain drive bike I've owned and I wasn't to happy with the mess of lubing the chain. Saw a recommendation for a new Teflon Spray Lube from DuPont.
Been using it and it's great. Picked up a can at Lowes for $7.
NO MESS on your wheels or sprockets. It goes on very wet, just use an old newspaper to keep the overspray off your tires (teflon on the rear tire probably isn't a good idea). It dries in about 30 sec and you're good to go.
