OK....as a person that use to(notice I said use to) move furniture, I would get leg cramps all the time till a friend of mine said to try the "Fritos and water thing"

What is the "Fritos and water thing" you ask....well, if you start to cramp up eat a couple of handfuls of Fritos(yes, the corn chips) and drink a couple of glasses of water

How does it work, you ask....when you get a cramp, your muscle is telling you that it needs water(and yes, it can happen in a pool)....well, the Fritos have a high salt content in them and your body needs salt to help it retain water....so, by eating the Fritos and drinking the water you are giving the muscle the ability to retain the water that it is in need of and the cramp will go away within about a half hour or so
That is SOOOOO not on the Weight Watchers Plan.

You could replace the banana with some OJ. That has potassium in it too.

She had some squishy fruit. She needs the firm stuff, and just needs to hold her nose to swallow the vinegar chaser. Voila! Done! :jet:

Have you ever brushed your teeth and then had to drink a glass of OJ? That's about the only thing that makes me puke. I know...:offtopic:

Yes, firm fruit:roflmao:

And you are right! OJ and toothpaste is awful! Definately try to do it the other way around:jet:

OJ in the morning an hour after brushing. I can go upstairs fine. Downstairs is an issue. Actually, I've been flexing it and pointing my toes back and forth while on here (thanks Lug) and it seems to be not so tight, but I'll do the OJ in the a.m.

You should try to shorten the muscle. Don't stretch it. Apply heat.
Try sports drinks. They work faster to increase your potassium levels.

Whatever you do, do NOT use Capzasin.
:yeahthat: :burning: If you had a pulled muscle from a Tae Kwon Do tournament and someone gave you capzasin be damn sure you don't get it on your groin.

Good lord are you crazy?! Do NOT shorten the muscle! That's a FAST way to more pain.

For relief of exercise induced cramps, apply heat, replenish minerals and water, light massage, and light stretching (lengthening of the muscle).

One time I put Ben Gay on my knees and pulled my panty-hose up over that. I was walking like John Wayne when I got out of my car to walk in the office. It wasn't pretty.
