Never went there, try to avoid "theme" eateries.

They usually have crappy food. I like holes in the wall, drive-ins, diners, and dives that have their own charm and the food is outstanding. Costumed waitstaff isn't a draw for me.

It was a trend for awhile to have "blind" restaurants, as in the dining room was completely dark so you could experience the sensory stimulation of a blind person. Or something like that. I would never eat at a place where I couldn't see my food.

So no Medieval Times for you, huh.

:killingme "Jimmy Buffet" and "cult" are mentioned, and an advertisement for Dave Matthews Band appears in this thread.

Why do you hate Jimmie Buffet?

I prefer music, which is not easy listening.

I had a Cuban sandwich there once. It wasn't as good as the ones I've had at the mom & pop places in Miami but it was still decent.

I bet the Lasagna is better in a mom and pop place in Italy compared to the Olive Garden in SoMD too! :sarcasm:

It wasn't the food there, as much as the terrible service that killed that place. I used to get burgers to go sometimes. The place would be empty and I have had to wait as long as 45 minutes for them to bring out 2 burgers and fries to go.
You would see employees hanging out, talking, playing with phones, while ignoring the few tables that were occupied and a few people at the bar.
Not really going to miss that place.
Hope the next restaurant there hires some better managers and crew.

You know what turned me off on the place? The outside. I get that they were trying for the beach-y look, but it was so unkempt, and real beach grass has some green in it. Dead grass in rocks is just unappealing.

Never fear! The next chain place will follow the mantra and bring in corporate crews to launch. It will be good and the heffers will flock for about 6 months to a year. Then, local 'talent' will take over and begin the steady decline towards closing :yay:

Kinda hard to have a beach in the middle of a parking lot.

LMAO...that's why I thought the place had shuttered a long time back!

I find that to be the case at most SoMD restaurants. Ruddy Duck is the exception - they actually work.
