Oh and I have a few questions for those who have dined there. I want to mainly know how do they keep the children protected from exposure to those under the influence. So...

1) For the purpose of bringing children how close is the main dining room to the bar or is there a separate area for those with children?

2) Has anyone seen someone get plastered there at any time of the day, even mildly plastered?

3) Is the tipsy-ness from the drinks too much for children to witness if a patron seems tipsy?

4) What is the seating arrangements and floorplan of the restaurant like (booths, tables and chairs, big tables, etc.)?

5) Has anyone dined (or know anyone who has) at any other Jimmy Buffet restaurants like the ones in FL?

TIA :flowers:

Your kidding, Right!!

Well I am so glad that I was able to headline the entertainment for this thread on yesterday. But, as always Sharon takes the opportunity to steal the show. Can't be mad at that.

Believe it or not I went by there yesterday and spoke with an assistant manager while I waited for my food from Rick's. Got all my questions answered without incident. :yay:

I know this is and old thread but we were in there not too long ago, we had 6 with us and we ordered the veggie burgers, ok well they did and I ordered a good old fashion burger.

Needless to say we all got meat burgers. We asked the waitress and she said they were indeed veggie burgers, but they all looked alike.

My friends took a bite and spit it out, they were meat....she took them back to the kitchen and indeed they were meat.

I know why go to a burger place for a veggie burger, but it was new and they offered it so we went.

My friends said they would not go again, one of them cannot eat meat and swears she was sick from it. So we paid and left.

JJ why don't you PM me and we can dicuss that a little further.

I liked the burgers though very yummy, from the little I did get to eat.

Took an '07 RT out for a short 50 mile jaunt today.. NICE!!

But not nice(r) enough to warrant trading in mine.
Tell the truth, you were afraid to trade because then Badgirl would kick your ass.

RT is the one with the jugs that stick out the sides?

Yep. I'm all about the big jugs.. RT is the big Touring Bike.. Did 50 miles on back roads and state highways.. 50 - 60 and never got out of 3rd gear. I think I'm just TOO comfortable on my bike.. as nice as it ran, as quiet and comfortable as it was, I just didn't feel comfortable on it, and couldn't wait to get back and ride my bike home.

They had ALL of the new K and R models for demo, and when we got there all were available.. Just don't see the purpose for a 170 <> HP bike, but might have been fun to take for lengthy test ride.

I thought their touring bike was the K12000LT? Looks kinda funky, like a big scooter. I wouldn't mind riding one just to try it out. I like my Ultra Classic.

there's two Major series of 1200cc bikes.. the K, horizontal four, and transverse (?) four, and R (big jugs) and both series have their Sport (S), Sport Touring (RS/ST), and others.. and for Touring you got the K1200LT which is PURELY a touring machine, and the R1200RT, which is a little more sportier, and less plush.. no reverse. no electric centerstand.. not near as many doo-dads.. But as nice and as powerful the K bikes get, the R has a seriour group of followers due mostly to their simplistic design, and the ease to self maintain.. K bikes you don't see at Tech Days much, those all go back to the dealers for service $$$$

Sorry to say I cannot argue that. I do not understand if you do not want to eat meat then why by products that look and taste like meat.?????

But the point was they ordered something and should have gotten what they ordered. Understand people make mistakes....I do all the time....but what if someone placed an order something because of a severe food allergy? I can see making on mistake but like you said 5???

Lot of farkles can be bought for what dealer maintanence costs.

I ride a K1200LT bike and I have only had it in the shop twice to be serviced by the dealer! It is a great way to spend a weekend day! Air filter change, oil filter change, plugs, valve adjustment with bucket replacement, farkle wiring and adjustments, brake fluid changes...that and more done by the owner. I learned early that at $81 an hour, and it taking 2-3 hours for panel removal and replacement for air filter changes and injector rail maintanence, I needed to learn the procedures myself. The K1200 group are tinkerers for the most part. They find as much joy working on the rides as riding them. Gives one a piece of mind to know the maintanence was performed correctly and that all the plugs and wires were correctly connected.

Once you purchase the LT, not a lot of $$ for dealer paid maintanence.
