Had dinner there tonight with a couple of forumites, EXCELLANT dinner, friendly and attentive server

Had the pork chop, garlic mashed taters and steamed broccoli. Chop was about 1 1/2 inches thick

They stopped in here after the dinner. I didn't get the PM. I did, however, sell a jacket. Seems the one DR just bought me was the same one I bought last year.

NO, I did not enjoy the place!

I did not like the food there, actually, to put it honestly it was quite awful. The place is tiny, there is no privacy, you basically sit elbow to elbow.I will not be back.

Hubby and I went there and we loved it! Yes, the tables are close together but we could talk just fine without hearing everyone else's conversations.

Half of your posts are on this one subject in multiple threads. I'm going to have to agree with the majority on two things, first the food is / was very good, and second you've got some personal reason for not liking this place which does not include the food.

My family and I ate there over the weekend and had to go to the emergency room. We all had severe stomach pains and vomiting. I had to go to the emergency room because my son seemed to be getting worse. He had a high fever and severe stomach pains. The emergency room confirmed food poisoning.I think the community should know.
I think you two should get a room.

(really I think you two are in the same room)

When, exactly, did you go to the emergency room? Food poisoning usually takes between 24 and 36 hours to come on after eating contaminated food.

My mother warned me. I should have listened.

First Impression:
As others have mentioned, we were seated elbow-to-elbow, and right in front of the "Chef's Table," so I couldn't hear a damn thing my boyfriend, or even the server was saying. The server didn't card me, and I'm only 22.

Food:
We ordered the Escargot as an appetizer, which was okay, but not the best I've had. For my main entree I ordered the Bacon Crusted Salmon. For one... it looked more like breading than bacon, and I certainly didn't taste bacon. Secondly, it was smothered in this raspberry sauce. I hate raspberry, and the description on the menu said absolutely nothing about it. What if I had been allergic? It looked like BBQ sauce, which would have been considerably tastier.

Service:
We couldn't eat our Escargot for about 15-20 minutes because they were still in shells, and of course hot, because we weren't given tongs to hold them. Our server didn't come back, and we asked another server who said he'd bring them out immediately. Never did. Finally our server comes back and gets it to us, but seriously... I waited 20 minutes for my food to come out to the table, and another 20 looking at it before I can eat it? Screw that.

Conclusion:
EPIC FAIL

That is a craptastic experience, but thanks for the heads up. I'll order tong thingies when I get the escargot and will steer clear of the bacon encrusted salmon. EWW!

I like sitting at the bar seating (Chef's Table) because I can get immediate service if needed and I like watching them prepare the different food.

Will never go back

We finally got around to trying this place out this weekend. Unfortunately, we will never go back. We did not even order. We were seated and the server came and poured the water. My wife was about to take a drink when she noticed what looked like the impression someones lips would leave on the rim of the glass. She took her napkin and lightly rub across it and sure enough it was lipstick. That completely grossed us out and we just couldn't bring ourselves to eat there given that it was obvious at least one dirty glass was left on the table.:barf: We informed the server and left.
