Almost all of my bus drivers smoked on the bus when I was in school. And yes, I know times have changed, children are much more delicate and sensitive. If I were a bus driver I'd probably feel the need to chain smoke AND down a couple bottles of scotch in order to tolerate all those kids.

Just my .02 - I've got a different take on this situation. I think it's bad that the driver was smoking, but not because the "delicate snowflakes" in the passenger seats stand any chance of being hurt by that miniscule exposure to smoke. But I do think that the driver of a bus full of kids ought to have both hands on the wheel and concentrate on driving instead of ashing out the window.

By all means, though, light up and soothe your nerves after the hellish experience of carting around other peoples' kids.
