Growin' up, we made out own butter (and yogurt, and ice cream, and butter milk and cottage cheese and...it was a dairy farm, after all). I don't recall there ever being a morning where the cinnamon-honey-butter wasn't on the breakfast table. Funny how some things are "rediscovered" every now and again.

Homemade butter is very good :yum: and pretty easy to make too.

I do miss all that..and everything else that we made or raised ourselves. I was probably 9 or 10 years old before I saw bread that came out of a wrapper and from a store. At least is was alleged to be 'bread'...didn't look like any bread I was used to eating. Plus it was already sliced (??) and danged thin at that.

I'll have to pass on the t-bone, I'm a weirdo and don't like bones in my food, but make it a delmonico and I'll stab you with my fork if you try to steal a bite.

We really should get together one day now that you are all domesticated and shiat. :killingme

I was enjoying the homemade ice cream from Cherry Hill farm for years. Until I found out my cholesterol had gotten too high. Had to switch to sherbet. Oh well. I do still eat ice cream from time to time, just not daily like I used to.

Surely you jest ...
They also make Honey Butter, saw that the other day and bought some to try it out.

I love the cin./sugar/butter,a little bit goes a long way. I will try the honey butter now too. Country Crock used to have a honey one and it was delicious but it was limited time only. Wonder why they do that ? grrrr!!!

Has anyone else tried this yet? Land o' Lakes has a tub of soft spread cinnamon sugar butter.

It's awesome. Can't wait to try it on pancakes and waffles and toast and anything else I can think of to spread it on.....
We always did it the old fashioned way, buttered the toast and sprinkled cinnamon sugar on it. :howdy:
