So by your reasoning, temporarily Job was a bad person, then he became good and was blessed. :bunny:

I used to believe in the falacy of "bad luck". Sure bad luck exists, but on nearly to the degree it is claimed. "Bad luck" as it is invoked so often is merely circumstances form poor decisions nearly 99.99% of the time. Driving down the road and having something fall off an airplane and hits your car is "bad luck", something in which you have absolutly no control over. Not drinking, smoking and waking up one day to discover you have a brain tumor is "bad luck". Almost every circumstance can be traced back to a poor/misinformed decision that is the root.

Not really a valid question because people do it both ways. You make decisions daily and they create certain circumstances. You are also given or put in circumstances and make decisions that affect those circumstances. SO WHICH WAY SHOULD I DO IT?:banghead: :yikes:

I'd say a little of both.

My circumstances will generally dictate whether I need to make a decision. My decisions will ultimately affect future circumstances, but you can't always know exactly how.

Stop crying... you give credit to luck or Karma, I give it to God. Your opinion and my opinion... There is something called free will, but you would probably just bounce through life on luck and karma...

Who's crying? You know nothing of my beliefs, and unfortunately I know enough about yours to determine that you use God as an excuse to be an ass and to justify your arrogance.

Do your research before you start preaching to me :dork: :duh:

Yes, and my point is that I think(you may not agree) that those circumstances that you feel you have been placed in are a direct result of decisions that you made.

I'm not crying about crap. I'm just saying your logic is screwed. If something bad were to happen to your wife or one of your kids would you think it was because they were bad people?

Ok... That's b/c your beliefs (just like your decisions) are wishy washy.... I really don't care how you believe is the bottom line. It was just a question and you don't agree with my reasoning. I'm fine with that and maybe you can be too.

That's a very general question. My wife is in safe hands as will my kids, when they are born. Everything happens for a reason. That's all I will say....

I don't think that all poor decisions can nor should be assessed as blame. As Vince pointed out at times we make the best decisions based on limited information due to expediency. I am speaking about life in general.

Um... you do realize that your Bible tells you that bad things happen to good people, even outside of the story of Job. It would take me several hours to find it because I'm not a Bible scholar, but I've had them preached to me.

As for Job... could you quote the verse where he turned temporarily bad?

you will have to ask Cristy for that one. That came from her.

Why are my beliefs wishy washy? Hmmm? If I would have used the appropriate terminology to suit your agenda, you'd be right up my ass agreeing with me. :duh: I wasn't taking your bait, so I chose the verbiage of "karma", which in my world = God. I consider myself Christian, but my actions and my beliefs have little in common with yours. I don't use God to belittle other's and attempt to portray myself as "holier than thou". :duh:

I took this as 'wishy washy.'

"But I'm not confused. I'm just not a black and white thinker."

Either way... whatever suits you!

So when you sent out a pic of your wanker, was that a direct command from God or did you make that decision on your own? :duh:
