An average citizen is someone who made a mistake by speeding or running a stop sign or some other minor infraction. When the police officer pulls them over, they are polite, non-argumentative and the police officer writes or gives them a warning. I am talking about people in non-police vehicles. Often, when a police officer is in his police car, speeding, they may be enroute to a call for service, and often it is less obtrusive to run a call without your lights and siren than with them on. People often act in an unpredictable manner when they see the lights and siren so I try to avoid using them when I can.Courtesy exteneded to the average citizen? What is an average citizen? Just stirrin the pot on that one. My understanding of your statement would be if a cop were to get pulled over, which will never happen, a ticket would depend on the other cop's attitude that day and whether or not he/she wants to be leniant.
In the mornings on 235 it's nice to trail a speeding cop swerving between cars. It saves times the vast majority of the time. However, he/she wouldn't be the one getting pulled over, it would be me.
So, whether or not I uderstand your comment, it wouldn't happen.
