CNN's Brian Stelter defends Ilhan Omar's remarks trivializing the 9/11 attacks: “This controversy was created. … Omar’s comment was used as a weapon against her.” pic.twitter.com/3E8Cuqk2Jj

Immediately after Stelter made his remarks, he brought Shahid on his show, who claimed that there was a massive conspiracy theory behind the criticisms of Omar.

Shahid claimed that billionaires were secretly trying to "defame and destroy the character of Ilhan Omar" because they want to protect themselves from being taxed more and they don't want people to get healthcare.

"So many stories are like this. First of all it starts off with alt-right, far-right Twitter. Then it goes to the Daily Caller which boosts it up. Then it goes to outlets like Fox News. Then it's the entire Republican Party is united around a singular message, which is to defame and destroy the character of Ilhan Omar. Like you were saying, it is part of this long 50-year strategy that began with the southern strategy in the Republican Party to divide white voters from voters of color," Shahid claimed.

Think about that: they're protecting a woman who trivialized the most devastating event to happen to the US in over 50 years. She is being presented as the victim by replaying her own words, in context and on video.

Then she should denounce Hamas; denounce the Muslim Brotherhood; declare how horrible terrorism has been; tell us all how much she loves this nation and how she will do whatever she can to change the image that Americans have of Islam.

Instead of belittling this country, minimizing terror attacks and whining from the safety of Congress.

One would think, wouldn't one? Instead she takes to the stage to champion Islamic terrorists and denounce our President.

If it were up to me her ass would have been shipped back to Somalia the second she opened her mouth.

New chant: along with "Lock her up!" for Hillz, we can have "Ship her back!" for Omar.

First there isn't much character to destroy. She is a Muslim, and avowed haijib wearing Muslim who wants Sharia law for America.
Second although she thinks she has the power to do so she is but one vote Well perhaps more, but she cannot by herself raise taxes or promote their Socialist health care plan.
Third if anyone is pushing for divisiveness it isn't Southern Republicans it is anti Trump returds like herself and her fellow Democrats.
And no that isn't a typo.
