Lefties expect everyone ought to commiserate about how much America sucks. When ordinary people complain about the heat wave and expect others will say, yeah, it sucks - or in the middle of the winter, in a blizzard - or during a bad storm - people are expected to share a dislike for the way things are.

When Michelle Obama was asked if she loved America, she answered she loved the America "as it could be". Barack said similar things.

Now if someone said that - about YOU - would you believe they loved YOU, as you are? If your son or daughter asked if you love them, how would they feel if you told them that you loved the person they might grow to become?

You know at the ending of Guardians of the Galaxy? The scene where John C Reilly is trying to explain to Rocket that stealing is wrong - and Rocket, bewildered, keeps asking "but what if I want it more?" and asking as though John JUST IS TOO STUPID TO UNDERSTAND THE QUESTION.
