Costco coming to Brandywine

Noticed on way in to work this morning new shopping center sign thats been there for a couple of months (northbound 301 at Matapeake Dr) has some stores listed now, the two I saw as I sped by were Costco and Safeway, and there was another but was unable to read.
This is right across the street from where the Giant store is coming at Chadsford Dr.
Won't be long till its nothing but stores from Brandywine now, till you get past LaPlata.

Just curious...which is better BJs or Costco? Sometimes I wonder if my BJs membership is worth renewing.

COSTCO.... by a mile.

They have a better selection and prices. When i first moved here i went to both Bjs and Sams to check them out and see which one was more like Costco, and neither were up to Costco's level. I do have a Bjs membership but now that there is a Costco coming, I will be switching.

I don't know, there once was a Price Club in Marlow Heights, which is same as Costco, its been a long time since it closed and we didnot have a BJ's nearby then to compare too, so I can't be of any help to you as to which is better.
I now use both BJ's and Sams Club on regular basis, and I beleive Sam's has larger variety of items other then food, then BJ's. But checkout lines at Sam's are sometimes a disaster, at least in Waldorf.

My mom has membership in both where she lives and compares BJs to Wal-Mart and Costco to Target.

They each cater to different markets. Costco has hours for business and hours for the public and they check your membership card just to get in the store. BJs caters to everyone and I have never seen them check a card to enter the store.

Costco is so much better than Sams and defintely BJ's. I drive to Hanover/Arundel Mills about once a month to visit COSTCO. Their prices are amazing (Wii games are 44.95!) Return policy is fabulous. Keep the box and receipt and they will take it back indefinitely. They also extend the warranty on electronics to some degree although I can't quote it off the top of my head. The Costco brand -Kirkland- is equal or better to brand name. We get everything Kirkland - paper products, photo paper, even some clothes. They sell stamps 100/$40.75, I know it's only .25 but it adds up after a while. We bought our car through their car program, our flat panel TV, our laminate flooring. Ok well I'm a COSTCO junkie, but I always shop around before a purchase, and they just can't be beat in price and quality!!!

Man - we think traffic is 'effed up there now - just wait till that shopping center opens up! You will not be able to get in and out of Waldorf...

The brite side - maybe the DC plates will make a left turn instead of coming into the county! :buddies:

Hey GMC, whats going where they are tearing down the 8-10 old houses, just up from the Costco, and before the golf cart place.
Does your firehouse get any plans of new developement in your first due.
Charles gives its local fire depts, plans and plats of new construction projects.:howdy:

Love Costco but the only one close to me is in Pentagon City and I hate their parking lot. Can't wait until Brandywine has one and I can use their facility as well. :buddies:

Don't know, but I sure hope they get the timing on the lights straightened out soon!! They have been messed up all week. Backup starting south of Cedarville this morning, and I come through (heading North, of course) around 5:45. BIG mess!!
