I know some people that were on a boat yesterday afternoon and they were drinking way too much - they told me they were going to Solomons to watch fireworks .... Thank you so much for any responses!

Why did you quote me for this

Does anyone know any names?? I know some people that were on a boat yesterday afternoon and they were drinking way too much - they told me they were going to Solomons to watch fireworks - now I'm not sure if this may have been them?? Thank you so much for any responses!
I don't believe they've released names yet. Why don't you call your friends? I'm sure they would be happy to know you cared enough about them to check.

Wasn't me. I was up there Sat. night to watch Golden Beach's fireworks. It was a very dark ride back to Solomons. Thank gawd for GPS and spot lights. I had to slow down twice for idiots cutting in front of me. :duh: I didn't even launch Sun. or Mon.

I really hope you're kiddin..... :lmao:

:ohwell:

Was it a white boat  We didn't go into the cove that goes into Golden Beach, we were anchored in the main Patuxent part - not the cove if that helps any:ohwell: Coming back we couldn't see nothing though!! We weren't prepared to be out all night or we would have brought the spotlight - luckily I always keep a flashlight on board.

I'm scared. :bawl: I don't want any of you to ride your boats after dark anymore. :nono:

And watch it, or I'll take away your motorcycles, too.

It was 1/3 of the way back to Solomons. I was heading E-SE with a pack of boats, following my buddy when twice, goobers decide to cut right between us. Fortunately, I was watching for these dorks & slowed down to avoid T-boning them both times. We were clearly in their starboard warning zone and had the right of way. I didn't notice details of the boats but I believe both were 19-23', center console fishing boats.

It's a shame anybody can buy a boat and go out with little or no training. :duh: Never ceases to amaze me the idiots out on the water at night.

:bonk: Of course it has running lights, a green and red at the front for "port" and "starboard" and a light in the back - it doesn't have head lights like a car would - that's why folks often bring spot lights.

Not me then... That's way too close for comfort - we didn't head out until about 1. BTW, did you happent to catch the name on their boat or their state stickers or boat number  In hindsight, you would know mine, it's white with a big 2 foot yellow paint job that says "I'm NoMoney" and then this :nomoney: :yay:

Yeah we just took 4 north out of solomons last nite and saw the rescue squads at benedict on both sides. I live in GB and there were a ton of boats out on the water this weekend. I was pretty sure this little fishing boat was gonna get crunched by a big cabin cruiser haulin butt down the pax.

I felt bad for a guy in Solomons.. He was hit from behind last night and his boat was half on his trailer and half on the tailgate bed of his truck. Looked as though a person was trapped in a sport ute that got t-boned right there at solomons. It was hell getting out of there on the roads last nite also.
