An obscure political cartoon in a small lefty paper paper makes up for the amusing and controversial cover of the New Yorker somehow? Ummm ok..

.

ummm ok I don't think I said it made up for it - I merely said this one's for you. Just a little political satire to brighten the day.

It's not my real name and you're right I'm not southron. I don't even know what a southron is.

Dont bother trying to find out. Waste of time for you.

Just messin' with you - but no I'm not southern or southron (southron's are a little too southern for me). I was a Navy brat before I served and moved up and down the east coast spending a lot of time in Charleston, SC and Savannah, GA. Dixie is the name of a dog that we had in Charleston and I loved the little monster with all my heart.

If I hurt your feelings I apologize - I actually googled Southron and was very surprised to get a very strange, southern website.

Anyhoo have a nice evening - I'm staying off somd tonight in favor of watching Mystic River - I'm still trying to figure out who killed the daughter. If I could only stay awake past 8!

For those that did NOT like the cover of the New Yorker (and I take it there weren't many) this one's for you.

Yep, see? Watch how many right wingers get up in arms about that one. NO ONE! We're for free speech and it doesn't bother us. It just proves the Lib's mentality.

I don't consider myself a Republicrat...after all, they're still politicians. However, I'm sure as hell not a tax-and-spend, tear up the constitution and shred it Demon-rat.

Another difference between Conservatives (which is what I am) and National Socialist Demon-rats: Republicans think this billboard is inappropriate, but Demon-rats are calling for censorship.

The repubs are allowing their common sense to be overridden by political correctness. It is a disease, after all.

 I don't get it. The liberals are mad at other liberals for writing things they said the Republicans were going to say?

Satire aside: some interesting factoids about Cindy McCain not included in the satirical "faux" magazine cover: She does a lot of charitable work for an organization that helps children overseas who are born with cleft palates. She's recovered from a stroke she suffered not too long ago - believed to have been brought on because she didn't take her blood pressure meds regularly. (she thought she felt "fine" and didn't take them)

Michelle & hubby whined right away that they were picked on by The New Yorker - what have we heard from Cindy & John about this political cartoon?

I'm curious what did Michelle say - I didn't hear anything, nor have I read anything and considering, what Obama said can hardly be construed as whining. Seems more like a media push/whine to me.

The cartoon I posted was not on the cover of anything - it was merely an internet thing and sent to me by my spanish speaking comrades that are harbored illegally in my basement.

The Obama campaign - to include Michelle & Barack. The Obamas have whined/gone on the defensive/spoken out everytime anyone says anything remotely negative about them. Politics ain't beanbag. IF he makes it to the White House, it will only get worse - that's a political reality in this country! I've heard or read that the press was actually much worse back in the days of George Washington.

That's why I referred to it as a "faux" magazine cover. I read the National Review Online and didn't think it was a real depiction of anything they'd done.
