Crab Feast event in SoMD this Saturday?

Is there a crab feast event going on somewhere in SoMD this Saturday 8/2? A friend of mine was offered 2 tickets, but he forgot to ask where it was. He doesn't want to go if all they have is crabs. Some people don't like to sit around and pick blue crabs for hours on end lol.

I thought something like that would be on the SOMD Community Calendar; but I couldn't find anything.:shrug:

I looked there too before I started this thread. There must be one somewhere - sheesh I guess I'll ask him to ask the person who offered the tickets.

Chances are with all I have going on, we won't be going. I'm sure they will find someone else to give those tickets to. Neither of us is big into eating small-ish crabs. Actually I think I'm giving up on all crabs due to how many cuts I end up with on my hands and in my mouth from eating crabs. Yeah Yeah , I know, you're not supposed to eat them live LOL

But now I'm curious where it is?..I had someone ask me just last Tuesday if there were any crab feasts coming up that they could take family to.

I don't eat crabs, I don't like seafood, BUT my grandma taught me how to pick crabs when I was a little girl. (I was there, may as well help her, she made crabcakes to freeze)
I don't use a knife or anything except for maybe to crack the claws open if the way she showed me doesn't break them....I've never seen anyone use their teeth! :eyebrow:

I don't like to waste food, so I am always trying to get into every bit of meat, and the claw cracker and the little wooded hammer don't always get into/open up all parts well.

It's just too much work these days for how small the crabs are. Most times that I eat a crab cake I find a small bit of shell which totally ruins the meal for me. Yes I'm picky lol.

The Dirctv technician this morning told me there was a Country/Beer fest going on this weekend at St. Mary's fairground with Sam Grow and others and lots of FOOD!!!
