Cracker Barrel

I didn't say they did...they move away from commercial centers of big box stores and chain restaurants (Waldorf for example) then support those same businesses moving into the area where they moved to.....not a criticism, just an observation

I misunderstod.

Truth be told there are not enough local businesses, or local businesses with a crap to support this population density. When I first moved here if you wanted to go to dinner on a Thurs-Saturday forget it unless you want to wait 2 hours.

I'm installing one today, but that's becuase I didnt get home from work til 9pm:)

Well, I think my use of "install" was an understatement..

I also had to install the outlet, run the wiring, add a breaker, and run new ductwork for venting... oh, and the plumbing to support the "STEAM" feature.

But it WORKS!! (and the house didn't burn down)

A Cracker Barrel restaurant will be coming to St. Mary’s County after all.

Ground should be broken within the next 90 days for it, immediately south of the Red Robin in the Park Place development at the corner of Route 235 and Shady Mile Drive in California, said developer John K. Parlett.

“Cracker Barrel has finally made the submission” for permits, said Harry Knight, permits coordinator with the St. Mary’s County Department of Land Use and Growth Management.

Cracker Barrel will be next door to Red Robin.
Longhorn will be north of T R H.
The old McDonald's building will be Golden Corral.

Wasn't Golden Corral here before in another life time in the Lonestar building, before Lonestar moved in?

And Western Steer used to be in the building that the 235/Rt. 4 WaWa is at.

They were both nasty places then, I can't believe that Golden Corral will be any better now.

Why on earth would you have TWO steakhouses within spitting distance of each other and a third (Outback) just up the road?

Hopefully so there won't be a metric butt ton of people standing around waiting in line for one of them...there is just a small butt ton waiting at each of them...

Well, I won't be one of them anytime soon so that's one less to worry about.

I just don't get the appeal of chain restaurants and the frenzy when one opens around here. I'd rather be eating at a local restaurant like Clarke's Landing or Seabreeze than the McRestaurant's that shovel out mass food quantities of mediocre food.

I agree with Clarke's or Stoney's...but I also like to go to Outback and have beers and happy hour food.....so if they open more steakhouses, that will cut the crowds down (hopefully)

I will be going to Buffalo Wild Wings though....that's always been my favorite place since I was a kid...
