Wasn't Golden Corral here before in another life time in the Lonestar building, before Lonestar moved in?

And Western Steer used to be in the building that the 235/Rt. 4 WaWa is at.

They were both nasty places then, I can't believe that Golden Corral will be any better now.

Western Steer Stunk as did Golden Corral back then. But would love to see a Golden Corral down here now. Wife and me have eaten at several thru our travels. And a big improvement! Breakfast and Lunch's are great. We need another buffet. Bon Buffet just does not do it here.....

Bill...

Hey they do their part..

Have you EVER seen a feral cat anywhere around Bon Buffet??

Good!! Just what we do not need..Another seafood place....Along with another bad Chinese and Pizza Place......And a chain one at that. Stick to the already numerous ones here and in Calvert.....

I'd like to see another place to have breakfast in the California area - our weekend routine includes breakfast out. I don't like IHOP, and I'm pretty sick of Bob Evans. Lenny's buffet is OK, but not every weekend. The cafe in Leonardtown isn't bad once in a while. A good old-fashioned diner would be most welcome to me.

Wonder if Bert's would consider adding breakfast on the weekends?

They did try it once for a while. Evidently it didn't go over too well, because they stopped.

Go up to Chesapeake Beach to the Rod n' Reel for Sunday brunch. It's pretty incredible.

I think Rod n' Reel is a bit over-hyped. We really like Trader's breakfast. Their home fries are yummy!!

Why on earth would you have TWO steakhouses within spitting distance of each other and a third (Outback) just up the road?

The developer and the corp are putting up the money and assuming the risk. That's why. It's called free enterprise.

I know you said North of TR House, but are you aware which plot of land they are eyeballing?

It's just the next plot on the right side of Rt.235 north bound after passing TRH. The site plan shows the restaurant and some business type buildings. I'll take another look at it and see if I can pin point it better.

More specifically, the site is located on the right or north bound RT 235 just before the three story brick building (informally known as the REMAX or Beck and Beck building), just past the First Colony RT 235 traffic light. Currently there is a large cleared lot. BTW, it is my understanding that the developer does not need to abide by the latest storm water management regulations - what a pity. The additional steak places and future Wildewood building may be called free enterprise (but it's also known as grandfathering and PUD loopholes), I call it a crying shame. Nothing like supporting huge corporations, so much for county government.

Oh okay, I know where you are talking about. Thanks for the info.

Yep, wait 'til you get your very own bankrupt ice rink  More section 8 housing is needed in the area too :duel:

The problem being, "nutz", is that these developers have little vision. Would be good to see more versatility, such as an art gallery, new movie theatre (that has been discussed forever), little parks, putt putt golf, etc. Instead, the same old tired business formula is being used over and over. RT 235 strip malls and restaurant rows can be seen all over the country. Would be nice to see some local businesses. Oh, and BTW, more affordable housing is needed. But basically, people or I should say mindless sheeple don't really care as long as their bellies are filled at the trough and it's convenient. :howdy:
