Custom motorcycle mechanic / body work?

Strung Out
...earlier Harleys than my '47 used a gravity feed oiling system where you filled up a tank and it (the oil) wended its way through all the vitals until it was dropped out on the road.

I love learning stuff like that. It helps me keep perspective and more appreciate the invention and creation of stuff over time. It's not like the day after internal combustion came to life that everything else was figured out as well. That makes perfect sense, made perfect sense, at some point.

Slip ons and intake on order. If I'm not happy will get tuner and let someone who has a clue do the tune. RINEHART 4" SLIP-ON MUFFLERS and COBRA POWRFLO AIR KIT CHROME.

Oh yeah, just got them. Very pretty. Will put them on tomorrow. I am sleeping with one tonight, too tired for twins.

They don't talk. They sing...

Looking forward to your review!

Well, they sound nice. Quick spin up the block puts imagined HP gain at %30. Real gain, can't tell. Gotta get out on the road and accelerate from 40-60. I doubt my counting in my head method will tell me much though.

Got to 63 on one count, 60 on the other, but it was a slight grade. So maybe better. I got to wondering, though, if this intake will make me run lean. Or will the CFI take care of it? Also the forward facing intake will take in rain, not that I intentionally do that, but could it kill the engine? I guess I could do a spray test in the drive and find out. I would really not like the engine to die on a slick wet road.
