While there are still some people around without hidden agendas...for the most part dedication, commitment...to the point that two parties will do whatever necessary to make things work is going by the wayside.

The number of children living in split homes in the United States is staggering, the number of single dads is over 2 million and women even higher. It boils down to respect and dedication...we all can go out and meet someone for who knows what...we know it's wrong but yet millions do it everyday...I see it everywhere. I may be old fashioned but what ever happened to commitment unconditionally. Waaaaaaaa.

The givers are few and far these days...unfortunately we tend to blame others for why we are where we are, I know I have done it...look in the mirror, it's easy to give in all facets of life and feels good...the returns you get are immeasurable!

Oh....and many happy hours of crazy passionate sex to all!:yahoo::whistle:

Be careful:) Peace!:mikey:

I'm special.

I cook, pack lunches, make desserts, etc. I do the dishes, clean the house, and scrub the floors on my hands and knees. I even wash windows (where I can reach). I do the laundry, make up the beds, do occasional ironing, and even some mending. I'm not a prude, so sex factors into the equation as well.

However, I do all those things because I care about my SO. And my SO would be doing things in return (like mowing the yard or maintaining my car) as a way of showing he cares about me as well.

All that stuff is a give and take kind of operation. The whole "I appreciate you, you appreciate me so we do these things for each other".

However, you have to have an SO that you do appreciate and care about and vice versus before you can even begin to want to do those kind of things for each other. So just expecting some person to come in and give you a clean house isn't going to happen.

I agree the "love" word isn't always the most appropriate word for everybody, but there has to be "something" there between two people. An appreciation, a compassion, a passion, a sense that this person compliments you (NOT completes) and their strengths round out your weaknesses, a fulfillment of your inner self and an adoration of another person. What you choose to call it is up to you. And all that isn't about :bangbang:...:bangbang: is just an additional benefit along with all that other stuff.

Marry me.

:QUOTE=sockgirl77;2715178]Sex is just sex. F**king is just f**king. Making love is just making love. Some just want casual ass from time. Some want the FWB for steady casual ass. And others, like me, want more. I want steady emotional rocking the house ass. :yay:[/QUOTE]

:yeahthat: It works for me!!

Tell me are we a group of people that look at sex as just something to do, or has the feeling of being attached a lost art.Is it so hard to just tell someone what you are looking for, and have a set of rule for both parties?

I don't know. I have been out of the dating scene for soooooooo long and I'm dreading going back to it. I think some people think of sex as something "casual" and it's a physical thing in life people do. Then there are those who find sex as something more meaningful and connecting with their partner. As far as telling them, I don't know anymore. I think people play too many headgames.

That's funny. Because it is men that do not want to get married with women writing the articles crying about it.

Whatever you are saying women provide in marriage, men just aren't seeing anymore. Feminism has burned many a woman under 40. Hope they make the best of the spinsterhood and/or being childless.

Men really don't want babies THAT much. WOMEN WANT THE BABIES. Women are the ones who cry themselves to sleep that they're passing 35 and still no baby :(:(:( I can have a baby when i'm 50 with some 30 year old if i want. I mean, if even one or two was nice to have, there is far too big of a chance that they will get taken away, we'll be told we can't see them then are expected to pay a ridiculous 40% of our income to raise children we don't get to see or MAYBE every other weekend. Unless, of course, the woman decides to be charitable, because the court sure doesn't care.

We can do our own cooking and laundry. I live with another guy now and this place is spotless with a minimum of effort. Good thing men invented washing machines and dishwashers. And sex and companionship is freely available like I already said. Women have priced themselves out of the market.

And sex isn't freely available in marriage... at least no where near as free in most marriages as it was before getting married. No way is money the biggest marriage problem. No freakin way. It's the sex or lack thereof. Or LACKLUSTER sex. Those jokes about no or lazy blowjobs don't come from anywhere.

And no i don't want to hear about the occasional exception or how one or two of you defy all the rules because usually you're lying or exaggerating.

Wow. I'm going to address these in numerical format:
1. You are a tool.
2. marriage is based on trust, love, companionship, etc. Certainly not on how well you can cook a pot roast or scrub a floor. And it's a good thing you can scrub your floor and do your laundry. You're not 5 years old, and we're not your mother.
3. Feminism has not burned woman below 40. Thanks to feminism, I can concentrate on building my career using my mind and not a mini skirt.
4. There are plenty of men that want children. Do you really think that all the children born each day are not wanted by their fathers? And 40% of their income to pay for their child is unreasonable? They can at least pay monetarily if they are not a part of their child's life. It's certainly not fair for one parent to give selflessly to their child both emotionally and financially (that goes double if it is a single dad)
5. How is it possible that you ever get laid? I couldn't imagine a woman wanting you now, let alone wanting a procreate with you when she's 30.
6. You are a tool.

1. yes he is.

2. I get trust, love and companionship out of my dog too, but I don't want to marry or sleep with her.

3. In and of itself? No. In all reality, I'm a big proponent of feminism. My problem is with those that want an equal share of everything and every decision, but still want shivalry, stability, and income from a man. The equation must be equal. You want sovereignty? You now have equal responsibility. You can open your own damn door, pay for your meal and your half of the bills.

The problem I have isn't the feminist notion that women are equal and just as good as men, it's that far too many women want that AND all the extra's their ancestors got. That's not feminism, that's feeling entitled to the world.

4. :howdy: I have primary care of my daughter. Guess what? They say I should be paying child support to (though they waived it). I got lucky all things considered. The old horny men that run the courts don't care what you do if you have boobs. Guy walks in with no job, gets read the riot act and then assigned an income. Woman walks in with no job, judge doesn't bother to ask why. I watched both happen within an hour, same guy. The courts are more equal than they used to be, but they're still severely bias.

I'm not getting into the rest of the details, I don't need the drama here. Oh... and I want more minions.

5. That's probably why he's whining.

6. We've already covered this. See number 1.

If a man is looking for a woman with 5 kids, living in her mommas basement, 3 times divorced, and loaded with emotional baggage, more power to him. That's not what I have to offer.

Looking for a soul mate and the love of my life.
