Our right under the constitution to bare arms is not being taken away from as we speak. The movement in DC is NOT a violation of our right under the constution. Our right was taken from us the day we had to start applying for licenses to own arms.

Should we be so tough on The officials in DC? There are things all of us have about our jobs that we don't like to do. But we do it because working and responsibility is what allows us to roam the land freely. Suppose we all quit because we don't like or agree with something or someone at work? We would all be robbing each other to get what we don't have. Point is don't blame Law Enforcement cause I believe they are on our side. They just do there jobs.

Police want illegal guns off of our streets and so do we. We want guns that are handled with respect and care. Not the guns that have been involved in an innocent childs murder. I certainly don't want to rightfully purchase a gun that was used to intimidate an innocent person out of thier property or one that was used to kill someone. We need murder weapons taken off of our streets. That is what Law Officers do.

You have a weird way of responding to posts. Every post of yours I've read makes me go back and read the post you quoted several times to see if I can even find relevance in it.

BTW there are alot of Police Chiefs in our country that don't support civilvians and non-LEO's rights to own guns. One out spoken that comes to mind is Miami's Chief.

Well do you find relevance in my posts? I guess you do have to read it a couple of times and interpret what I am saying. But there are points that are relevant to the topic. If my thoughts and the way I express, them challenge your brain,it is not such a bad thing right?

It just seems like you make it a point to take the perspective of.... I don't want to say devil's advocate because that isn't what I am looking for.... it is almost like you are disagreeing with every posts but at the end you always remind us you are on "our" side.

I really don't know how else to describe it.

If you live in DC the RKBA has been violated since 1976.

The movement in DC is NOT a violation of our right under the constution.
THe door to door search is Constitutionallly borderline and so much so that a very similar issue pops up in front of the Supreme Court still. It is a question of coercion, but the real issue has to do with the slippery slope towards dangerous precedent and possible abuse. We don't want our law enforcement system to become like the Nazi or Soviet systems some day.

Our right was taken from us the day we had to start applying for licenses to own arms.
It was never actually taken away if it turns out the licensing was really unconstitutional and always a violation of our rights.

The road to Hell was paved with good intentions.
The going door to door might net in a few guns off the streets, but the potential for abuse by the police and the damage this does by setting a dangerous precedent and the slippery slope offsets the few successes it may provide.
