I just breezed through this thing quickly but am on edge about crime right now due to the fact that my car was stolen from my driveway last night. Car was locked and everything. Sheriffs office told me that a few vehichles of the same make and model were stolen through out the county last night.

That sucks big time.
No concern by the animals at all.
they have no care about your ability to get to work, or even the store to feed your family.

worst part is that if they wreck it while driving, your insurance will be responsible for any damage. (I had this happen to me years ago)

what was the car type?
if that type of car is on the hot list in your area, it might be good for others that have the same type to know. Maybe they can take extra measures to keep it where they think it is.

Hope things work out for you.

With all the witnesses, I would have thought there would have been some arrests by now.

Me too, and I am suprised the guy is still alive.

I was just checking out the Maryland public case search website and it shows that on July 2, 2004, Jeffrey Wells was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute, possession not-marihuana (cocaine), theft over $500 and a few other less serious charges. He was sentenced on January 31, 2005 in Calvert County Circuit Court to 10 years, all but 1 year and 3 days suspended.

Thanks for the update Willie. :yay:

That's what happens with a lenient Judge, suspend the sentence so he can get shot up. Odd justice.

I don't get it... I've heard of people with less than an ounce of pot getting more time then that.

We should bring back the chain gang and let them bust rock for the road base like they use to do.

See... if people wouldn't sell bad drugs, they wouldn't get all shot up and whatnot. :peace:

:ohwell:

Willie, I think no more than 1/2 of the sentence should ever be suspended. If the guidelines say 10 years, than at least 1/2 of that time should be served. He was given one hell of a break, and it appears he went running right back to the lifestyle that landed him in jail in the 1st place.

Intent to distribute should get life. If there isn't enough room in the jails, pile them on top of each other. They should bear down on the users and bear down hard. No more wrist slaps and PBJ's. A user stands a whole lot bigger chance of quiting drugs in jail than on the street where he/she will stoop to any level to get high. I'm talking jail, not prison.

NOT Politically Correct!!
I only hope Maryland legislators get off there a$$es and approve concealed weapons for private "law abiding" citizens like all the states around us... :wench:

A user would just find another venue even if it is household cleaners.

In jail? I can't picture even the worst addict enjoying a swig of Mr. Clean.

You could put Charlton Heston, in healthier times of course, in control and it wouldn't make any difference in the State of Maryland.

Any word on your car?

Doesn't the insurance company make you wait like 30-days before they will even consider paying the cost of the car?

What really stinks is that once your car is stolen, do you really WANT it back after it has been all dogged out by criminals?

With my luck I would get the car back, then I would get pulled over for some minor infraction, they would find a bag of weed left behind and missed by the police at that time, then they would find it during the stop.
I would end up in court, convicted of possession and sent to jail for a long period of time where I would join the boxing team to avoid being married to bubba joe and dressed up like a women complete with mop on my head for hair.

My wife and daughter would lose the house because I wouldnt be helping to pay for it, and the state would confinscate the property and turn it into section 8 housing, where, yes you guessed it, the original thief, and actuall owner of the weed would be moved into at the taxpayers expense.

He would find my car up on blocks in the garage and claim it as his.

In the end, the thief would have my house and my car legally, my wife and daughter would be living in a REI pup tent on the side of the beltway and I would be in prison.

no, I dont think I would want the car back.
