Nice thought, but figure the odds on that in Maryland. They'd want to do just the opposite. Take everyones guns away and give them to the criminals.

With my luck I would get the car back, then I would get pulled over for some minor infraction, they would find a bag of weed left behind and missed by the police at that time, then they would find it during the stop.
I would end up in court, convicted of possession and sent to jail for a long period of time where I would join the boxing team to avoid being married to bubba joe and dressed up like a women complete with mop on my head for hair.

My wife and daughter would lose the house because I wouldnt be helping to pay for it, and the state would confinscate the property and turn it into section 8 housing, where, yes you guessed it, the original thief, and actuall owner of the weed would be moved into at the taxpayers expense.

He would find my car up on blocks in the garage and claim it as his.

In the end, the thief would have my house and my car legally, my wife and daughter would be living in a REI pup tent on the side of the beltway and I would be in prison.

no, I dont think I would want the car back.

As I originally said, Jail NOT prison. Prison fits a little more to what you are saying. There are a whole lot of people attending NA meetings that Calvert County jail was their first step in controlling the Crack habit.

That depends on who you ask. There are some inmates that will swear to you that the drugs are easier to access than it was on the streets and more abundant. Jail, Prison, Detention Center, Department of Corrections all the same. Drugs ratios compared to the outside and inside can vary depending on what studies you want to look at with different variables.
