Watching updates on the storm heading for Florida. It's interesting that many forecasters are already calling it "Debbie" even tho it's days away from actually being a named storm. They also seem to be the biggest weather fear mongers. There are a few that are still calling it "Invest 97L", and I tend to watch their forecasts more often.

Regardless of being a named storm, it's still supposed to bring tons of rain to Gulf Florida and the east coast.

Got your boots on Vrai?

Western MD needs an east coast hurricane/tropical storm bad. Otherwise no rain in the near future.

Saw this earlier, looks like they will get rain starting tonight and Sat. Advance to 2:00.

Let's hope so. Rain on the east side of the Alleghenies comes up from the south. Rain coming from the west gets wrung out coming over the top. That's why Garrett Co. gets a lot of rain and snow.

Wash DC is already recommending water conservation because the Potomac is so low. If it get's worse, MD will start releasing water from Savage River or Jennings Randolph reservoirs.

Soon-to-be Debby has changed track a little to the west. Landfall in Florida is currently centered currently just north of PCB.

@vraiblonde hope you're keeping an eye on this.

:yay:

Last report I watched said your area is now in a surge warning area (4-7 feet) as well as a hurricane warning, and there was talk of evacuation.

My brother is near Wilmington, NC and some predictions there are for over 12" of rain.

Looks like it's going to miss us. Heading over to take out the Bend again. Ross Whitley, meteorologist extraordinaire, says little impact outside of Franklin County.
