Looks like I'm sleeping in on Friday.
I was just going to say something like that. Forecasters predicted the rain to start here early, like 6am. Now 10 and the sun is coming thru.
Yeah, I get that forecasting a storm like this isn't easy, but they aren't even close here. Rainfall for us has been downgraded from 4-6 to 2-4".
wimp.It figures that this coming weekend is showing very favorable tides for stocking the freezer and a ****ing tropical storm is being forecast.
Just talked with my bro in NC. He's in the predicted 15-20" rain area. They had some rain and a t-storm last night, nothing big, out walking now and the streets are dry, sun is out (between bands). He was laughing at Al Roker for his "catastrophic" comments.
Still no rain here, and by the future radar, maybe nothing until late this evening, and even then, not much. Another big hype, just like those snowstorms that never came. Spent the past few days getting the generators ready and building new power cords. Guess I won't need them for a while.

The trick is to always be prepared, then you never have to prepare just before the s**t hits the fan.I'm a big believer in that. If I don't prepare, we get clobbered.
I didn't say I was staying on shore, now did I? Just ordered a bimini top off off Amazon for a 12ft boat.

Throwing the deuces
My inlaws are in Savannah. Whenever they tell us they are evacuating because of a hurricane, it always misses them and clobbers us. They are more reliable than any weather forecaster on TV.I'm a big believer in that. If I don't prepare, we get clobbered.
