DOGE: Non-voting delegate Stacey Plaskett from the Virgin Islands attacking Elon Musk for being ‘illegitimate’. Am I the only one who thinks we shouldn’t allow observers in Congress?

This is how you know it’s all political. This is literally the same budget spending the Dems voted for under Biden, but now because it’s the GOP they will shut it down. They think a shutdown hurts Trump. Now I don’t want this to pass, I want much deeper cuts, but this shows you the essence of politics

They KNOW what they’re doing. “I believe [Trump] expects violence. I believe he expects confrontation. I believe he's working toward a civil war.” These people are EVIL"

Catfight: House Dems Urge AOC To Primary Schumer After Funding Bill ‘Betrayal’

Even centrist Democrats are outraged by Schumer’s decision, with some "so mad" that they are "ready to write checks for AOC for Senate," according to a Democratic lawmaker who spoke with Ocasio-Cortez at House Democrats’ annual policy retreat Thursday evening, CNN reported.

Schumer had announced hours earlier on the Senate floor that he would vote to advance the GOP funding bill. "I will vote to keep the government open and not shut it down," Schumer told his colleagues, adding that "while the [House bill] is very bad, the potential for a shutdown has consequences for America that are much, much worse."

The infighting comes as Democrats still struggle to regain their footing nearly two months into President Donald Trump's second term. A recent poll of voters in 62 swing districts found that nearly 70 percent see congressional Democrats as "too focused on being politically correct" and that more than half of voters believe the Democratic Party is "elitist" and does not share their values.

The House of Representatives on Tuesday voted mostly along party lines to approve the funding bill to keep federal agencies running for the next six months. The bill will need the support of at least eight Senate Democrats to pass.

Ocasio-Cortez, who has declined to say whether she plans to run against Schumer, slammed Schumer’s move to "completely roll over and give up on protecting the Constitution" and vowed to mobilize Democrats against the bill.

Trump's Foreign Policy Has Dems Throwing a Hissy Fit

This week, the Soros-backed Center for American Progress (CAP) held a symposium on how House Democrats are reacting to President Donald Trump's national security strategy. There, star speaker Rep. Adam Smith (D-WA), ranking member of the U.S. House Armed Services Committee, led the collective coping-and-seething session.

"This is illegal, dumb foreign policy," Smith said in a statement ahead of the event. "It makes America less safe, less prosperous, and it will literally kill people."

Panel moderator and CAP fellow Patrick Gaspard, formerly a U.S. ambassador under Barack Obama, mentioned Trump bringing about a potential 30-day ceasefire deal between Russia and Ukraine. "Why is it destabilizing if he's managed to do that?" Gaspard questioned.

"What I'm worried about is the JD Vance and what Liz Cheney lovingly referred to as the 'Putin wing' of the Republican Party," Smith retorted. "They have a different agenda. That agenda is they are sympathetic to Putin. They see him as a fellow white, Christian nationalist. It's the most ugly way to put it. That's not all of them, but there are certainly some who see, 'Putin's against woke!' Right?"

Smith then claimed that Trump has shown "so much weakness toward Putin" that the latter will take advantage of and not abide by a legitimate peace agreement. "He is just basically waving Putin in across much of Eastern Europe."

"What you can see from Trump's tariffs and his budget, he is just a typical Republican. Frankly, I think that's the dirtiest thing we can say about him," Smith said.
