Man Photographed with Would-Be Assassin Ryan Routh Later Honored by Biden with Presidential Medal of Freedom Releases Statement After Being Fired by Trump

José Andrés quickly responded to his firing, insisting that he had already resigned before Trump’s announcement. However, critics were quick to question why he would need to resign if his term was already set to end, calling his explanation nonsensical.

“I submitted my resignation last week…my 2 year term was already up,” Andrés wrote.

“I was honored to serve as co-chair of the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition. My fellow council members – unpaid volunteers like me – were hardworking, talented people who inspired me every day.

José Andrés is the same individual who was photographed with Ryan Wesley Routh—Donald Trump’s would-be assassin—and was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom earlier this month.

According to reports, the photo was taken in Kiev a while back when Ryan Wesley Routh was a prominent figure in Ukraine’s capital for his habit of displaying American flags in Maidan Square.

Democrat voters abandon party after AOC, Jeffries say anti-trans athlete bill empowers child sexual predators

This argument was not rooted in any language within the bill, as Republicans insisted that no genital inspection would ever be necessary and that proof of birth gender could simply be determined with a birth certificate.

Still, many prominent Democrats, including House Minority Leader Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., used the sexual predator argument in statements and during testimony on the House of Representatives floor.

This tactic has alienated some of the party's loyal voters, who have unregistered as Democrats in response.

Prominent Rutgers law professor Gary Francione has been a lifelong Democrat dating back to the 1970s. In November's general elections, he voted for Vice President Kamala Harris and Rep. Chrissy Houlahan, D-Pa., who was one of 206 Democrats to vote against the bill last Tuesday.

But Francione, who is an advocate for LGBTQ rights, abortion rights and even a vegan and animal rights abolitionist, said he was so offended by the Democrat representatives who tried to tie the bill to empowering child predators that he unregistered as a Democrat after last Tuesday's hearing.

"That just made me very upset because it screamed out lack of integrity, lack of honesty," Francione told Fox News Digital in an exclusive interview. "This is the way you fight battles? By trying to insult other people who oppose you and disagree with you and insinuate that they're child molesters or pedophiles? It seems to me you've lost the game. … I don't know how they're ever going to come back from this."

Francione has a lifelong network of other Democrats in the field of law and other industries, and he says many of them share his beliefs and will also be unregistering from the party.

‘No One Wants To Hear From This Guy Anymore’: James Carville Tells Biden To ‘Just Get Out Of The Way’

Democratic strategist James Carville on Wednesday urged former President Joe Biden to step aside from political discourse, asserting that his continued involvement would harm their party.

Biden concluded his presidency on Monday by issuing preemptive pardons to five of his family members and to President Donald Trump’s political opponents. Following a conversation about the pardons, Carville, on “Politics War Room,” criticized Biden’s handling of the final chapter of his presidency, saying the Democratic Party no longer wants to hear from him.

Dick Durbin Pushes Anonymous Smear that Kash Patel ‘Broke Protocol’ When Commenting on a Hostage Rescue

Durbin, in a letter sent to Trump administration officials dated January 27, 2025, said he received “highly credible information” that Patel “broke protocol” regarding hostage rescues when he commented to the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) “without authorization” about a successful hostage rescue during the first Trump administration in October 2020.

Durbin claimed the rescue of two Americans who had been held captive by Iranian-backed Houthi militants was still in progress when Patel commented to the newspaper. Durbin claimed that the WSJ published comments from Patel at 10:55 a.m. ET, several hours before the hostages were in confirmed custody of the U.S.

The WSJ reported that the two Americans were freed and that a Royal Oman Air Force plane carrying them and the remains of a third “flew out of Yemen’s Houthi-controlled capital of Sana’a, hours after the jet and a companion flight” had brought more than 200 Houthi loyalists back to Yemen.

The paper cited U.S. and Saudi officials — not just Patel.

Massachusetts Man Arrested with Molotov Cocktails at U.S. Capitol, Trying to Kill Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Speaker Johnson and Pete Hegseth

A Massachusetts man was arrested Monday at the U.S. Capitol after allegedly bringing two Molotov cocktails and multiple weapons, with the stated intent to kill Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson, newly confirmed Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.

[clip]

His initial plan, according to the affidavit, involved traveling to Washington, D.C., to carry out what he described as a mission to “depose” political offices and send a message.

English admitted to law enforcement that he intended to use the vodka bottles, filled with alcohol and fitted with cloth soaked in hand sanitizer, as weapons to “start fires” and possibly stab his intended targets.

In addition to the weapons found on his person, a search of English’s vehicle revealed a larger bottle of vodka and a sweatshirt with its sleeves cut into rags, which matched the materials used in the makeshift bombs.

A manifesto was also discovered, written on the back of a receipt. It conveyed guilt and despair, expressed a yearning to retaliate against perceived injustices, and included a heartfelt plea to someone named “Judith” to “stay alive and heal.”

The handwritten note reads:

“Judith dear god I am so sorry. You must understand I can feel myself dying slowly b/c of my heart. This is terrible but I cant do nothing while nazis kill my sisters. I love you. This is awful. Im so sorry. I love u. Please stay alive and heal. you can. you are strong enough. **** them for pushing us so far. you dont deserve this. Im so sorry for lying and plotting and lying. Please survive [7 hearts]

English told authorities he expected his actions to result in his death, possibly through a violent confrontation with police, indicating an acceptance of “suicide by cop.”

The affidavit detailed how English meticulously prepared for his attack, leaving his phone at home to avoid surveillance, purchasing an atlas for navigation, and wearing concealing clothing while obtaining materials for his incendiary devices.

First-term House Dem attacks White House spox Karoline Leavitt as 'Fake Christian'

A first-term House Democrat is attacking White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt on X after she sought to clarify a White House memo rescinding an earlier policy statement on President Donald Trump's federal funding order.

"Karoline Leavitt is a Fake Christian, like so many in this Golden Calf administration," Rep. Dave Min, D-Calif., wrote on Wednesday.

Min mocked the senior Trump aide, claiming she was making those remarks "while wearing a giant cross to let everyone know how pious and moral she is, even as she is so comfortable stating a bald-faced lie to hundreds of millions of people."

He told Fox News Digital in request for further comment, "As a person of faith, I find it appalling that this administration uses religion to advance an agenda while lying through their teeth about what they are doing – allowing children to go to bed hungry, depriving veterans of their earned healthcare, and slashing funding for the police and first responders."
