Democrats Warn: Brace for ‘Unrest’ if Donald Trump Wins

The "prepper" in me thinks it's prudent to prepare. I can see interruptions in the food and fuel supply. Being winter could make things worse.
So, last 2 times I was in Giant, there was a visible lack of some products, like milk. Pretty thin. And just a few months ago, eggs at Aldi were under $2. Two weeks ago, $2.59. Today, a full dollar higher, and that's the "cheap" eggs.

Election-related? Some other supply chain issue? Granted, Giant always seems to have issues with milk stock.

They must be trading Chicken Butts on the commodities market like they do Pork Bellies.

Just now watching a YT, and the guy is in Philly. He's not an alarmist, just pointing it out. He's seeing the same thing, many thin or missing items on shelves in Aldi, WalMart, and seems to be country wide. Veggies, canned goods, dairy. Limits on eggs. Short term issues or something bigger?

If I had to guess I would say it has something to do with the dock worker strike. But I don't know that, and don't know s*** about anything so there you go LOL

Folks stocking up a little just in case there are some disruptions after Trump is sworn in?

Available here for pickup at WalMart in 1 day.

Sounds like you two should drive and meet halfway to exchange products!
I drink tea. For the A&W full strength I just keep an eye out for it even if I have to settle for the pony bottles.

For your consideration ...

You can bet your last dollar on that one. It is all intentional. The powers that be are letting us know that they still control things, and are punishing us for voting Trump. Hey though, regular bacon prices are now only $8.99 a pound. 1lb sausage rolls? A bit less. Steak, whatever variety, starting at $9.99 a pound and way way up from there. Giant even goes as far as selling very thin sliced T-bones at $15.99 a pound.

Dang. Makes me happier that the 1-1/4" thick Angus steaks I put in my freezer are still only $5.75/pound.

I always loved the Wellesley Farms Kettle cooked Potato chips in the 30 ounce bag cost like $6.00 at BJ's, they stopped carrying them.
Why?

Well maybe I know . I looked them up and they sell for $21dollars and 23 cents online.
$15.76 at Amazon, $11,99 at Shellhealth, whoever the hell that is.
\
Maybe they just got too expensive for BJ.

That’s strange since Wellesley Farms is BJ’s own brand.
