The power of the office, the constant ass kissing, the perks, the people fawning over them when they appear, the body guards all of these things make politicians feel like tin gods. They adore the office so much they want to keep it till death.

Most Americans as they age look forward to relief from the daily routines of getting up early and going off to work. Their bodies and minds age and they want to slow down and enjoy what they have worked for in a lifetime. Retirement , their home paid for, their family, perhaps travel. People like McConnell, Feinstein, Pelosi, Hoyer, they have had free trips paid for by the taxpayer, they have an office they come to at whatever time they feel like , a staff to do their bidding, Food and barber shops right there at work, the works is easy and so are the riches. All they have to do is stick their hand up when the party tells them too.

Another one that needs to get the hell out of DC…

What is the state of CA afraid of replacing her .? She loses her committee chair .? Her staff wheels her everywhere. She doesn't know where she is half the time. Her staff needs to be charged with elder abuse.

Good for you. I don’t come here to virtue signal.
You come here because we're the only people who show you the respect you've earned & deserve...

No, really....you deserve all of the respect that we give you...you wretched eunuch.
BTW...how's your wife? Don't bother answering. I already know...

Rick Scott wanted to challenge Mitch for the Senate leadership this last go around. I think he got scared off. If Mitch doesn't retire, I think Scott will challenge next time around.
