I heard its under new ownership and being remodeled. Not sure of an opening date.
Went pass again today, sign posted in the grass stating a name but I didn't get it. Says a Mexican grill, coming soon. Outside lights still lit with the old name.

Was my favorite restaurant for a few years, then suddenly they started making changes. No, nobody want's your $20 plus tip guacamole bar, go back to to cheap big ass burritos covered in sauce...

I think maybe it’s just a bad spot for a restaurant. Like “The Local” - the spot where Dominos is in Wildewood - and the spot in Leonardtown where they’re now building a car wash - these places have changed hands so often over the years it’s impossible to remember them all.

Anyone think Helens will make it in the old Willows location? That is another location that seems to struggle

Ate at Tolteca shortly before they closed. Was told they had limited menu because they were getting ready to shut down "for remodeling."

That property sold for 1/2 million supposedly. That rent has got to be stiff, and it will probably have a performance clause once it starts making money.
Have they opened yet? I was under the impression it was supposed to open this spring. Doesnt look like much activity going on when I ride by.

Helen's at the Willows location was shooting for a Mothers Day weekend opening. Then they wanted to do Memorial Day weekend, but that didn't happen either. I drive past that location daily and keep looking for an open sign. I believe it will be a breakfast and lunch location. They are definitely putting out the word (via Facebook) for hiring staff.

I bought kayaks for my kids there in '95...and a fat-tire bike for the then-wife in '97.
I remember it as California Post Office. Then a surf type store. Bought daughter's ski stuff there. Snow ski's, parka for her Senior Class trip. They were the first local place for Oakley sunglasses. Wow. Blast from the past.

Blue Wind has been in their location forever.
I remember the bike shop, next to 7-11. Blue Wind had better quality pan seared tuna when Robert Plant was in charge. Then he sold it and opened Elements had the best pan seared tuna. Then he retired, and great pan seared tuna vanished from the county.
