Thomas Champagne, guess who said this:
A drunk or drugged person behind the wheel of an automobile isn't a driver; he or she is a machine for destruction. The American people have paid the bills, seen the damage, and felt the heartache, and I think they're saying, ``Enough.''

Mr. Champagne, it's kind of ironic that your name is an alcoholic beverage, don't you think?

Guess who said this:

drunk driving isn't a bad habit to be excused; it's a crime to be stopped.

The future does not belong to those who are content with today, apathetic toward common problems and their fellow man alike, timid and fearful in the face of new ideas and bold projects. Rather it will belong to those who can blend vision, reason and courage in a personal commitment to the ideals and great enterprises of American Society.

That didn't take long did it, but it proves one thing, you have to draw from the depths, because you have my name! You actually wasted time in you're evening. You do your search only when I beat you mentally....I wonder if the black book gets fatter? When you try so hard? I only see that you can't challenge the issue! I wish someday for you to win an argument from you're mind and not one that's just impressed the chicks whom follow morons. You see when the time comes that I will do more time in jail. There was never anybody in that jail who was as dumb as you!

When you get released from prison, and you fart.. .

can anyone hear it??

you know, right up to this moment when you posted, I was actually under the impression that Baja was just pulling someones record and passing it as yours.
damn man, you need to straighten up if you havent already, there is nothing there in that record that would keep you from going forward with your head high if you just took care of it now.

Looks like your only problem is that you might like to suck down a beer or 12 now and again, its not like half the population doesnt do the same thing once and a while,, or at least once in their life. Its not like you were a molester or anything.

get the #### cleared up and go on. Its that simple.

He has multiple drunk driving arrests. Obviously he has a problem. The rational choice would be to stop drinking, but he chose to give up driving instead. Insanity.

Alcohol is too important for him. He doesn't want to face his charges because he knows he will be forced to stop drinking. He can't handle that thought.

He knows what to do when he finally decides that he's had enough. He knows how to get the help he needs. He knows where to find people who want to help him, and they'll do it for free. If he got sober, turned himself in, and presented evidence of his sobriety to a judge, he'd probably get a reasonable sentence. If they have to catch him, extradite him, and treat him for alcohol withdrawal (again).........

I just pray that he doesn't kill someone innocent first.

like I said, the real shame is not with what he did, its more in the way he is , or is not handling it.

Absolutely. You get it. :yay:

There is no shame in admitting you have a problem and asking for help. The shameful thing is to run away and hide from a problem.

Go!

The only one I know is from his eulogy over Bobby's funeral, and it's quoted in Tom Clay's version of "What the World Needs Now", one of the first songs I ever owned as a kid.

Like it or not, we live in times of danger and uncertainty. That is the way he lived, that is what he leaves us. My brother need not be idealized, nor enlarged in death beyond what he was in life, but be remembered simply as a good and decent man who saw wrong and tried to right it, saw hurt and tried to heal it, saw war and tried to stop it. Those of us who loved him, and who take him to his rest today, pray that what he was to us, and what he wished for others, will someday come to pass for all the world. As he said many times, in many parts of this nation, to those he touched, and who sought to touch him, “Some men see things as they are, and say, ‘Why?’ I dream things that never were, and say, ‘Why not?’

(Now admittedly, of all the things I thought of with regards to Bobby Kennedy, it's hard for me to remember him as a man trying to stop a war, because he was kind of late to the game on that one, having been part of the administration that began it. On the other hand, what I do remember is that just about everything attributable to JFK's administration is mostly Bobby's work, from civil rights to busting the mob. To *me*, BOBBY was the Kennedy that should have been President.)
