Dinner Time!

Chasey_Lane

Salt Life
Ground turkey seasoned really well mixed with garbanzo beans, kidney beans and tomatoes, a small salad, and a protein smoothie.

I was exhausted and starving after my gym workout this evening so I over indulged a bit. :blushing:

I baked them with some olive oil, fresh garlic and onion plus a little wine vinegar. Sometimes I add a little crumbled bacon.

:yay:

The Vraiblonde gave me her recipe and it is similar:
Halve the sprouts (quarter if they're large), toss them with olive oil and and a few shakes of balsamic vinegar, sprinkle with salt and roast at 400 for 30 mins. Stir them up a couple of times while they're roasting. For a pound of sprouts, you'll use about 3 Ts of olive oil and maybe one T of vinegar. I sometimes go heavier on the balsamic just because I lubs it so much.

They are the bomb! :yay:

We were supposed to have breakfast for dinner last night but my husband ended coming home in a panic saying he was having issues with his eye sight and we needed to go to the eye doctor. Turned out he has a detached retina and we have to see the specialist this morning. We didn't get out of the doctor's office until after 8pm so we hit Wendy's for a quick dinner. Both kids have the MSAs at school starting today so we wanted them in bed at a decent time. Hopefully tonight, we can have our french toast, eggs, bacon, and toast. :yum:

Gosh! I hope he'll be okay! :huggy: What causes a detached retina?

We are not sure about this one but when he was a kid, he got hit with something in the eye that caused one in the other eye. Hopefully they will say that it will heal itself or they can use a laser to fix it.

That sounds scary. Hope that heals quickly!

It's my dad's birthday so mama is making a huge pot of spaghetti sauce :yahoo: That means I get to take some home and eat it forever :yahoo:

Damn, hope he is okay. :huggy:

Hubby had laser surgery on Tuesday to repair his retina. His vision is still limited because of the "floaters" due to the blood that has pooled in his eye. That won't go away completely for 6-8 weeks. Turned out his retina was torn, not detached, which was a better out-come.

:yay::yay: to Chesapeake Retina Center in PF for everything they did for my husband. He was a nervous wreck and they took great care of him.
