I just read through this thread and it is making me sick. Let me give you another perspective on this. You know what buisiness owners(like veterinarians) hate? People like you who have had '22 years of service, never had a problem, great pet care' blahblahblah, and then the first damn time they don't get their way, they quit that vet and go on a public forum and bash them. Did it occur to you that maybe they were full, dealing with 50 other people JUST LIKE YOU with pets JUST LIKE YOURS?? If they have been so good that you stayed for 22 years, then why not be an adult and resolve it with the doctor, not the snotty receptionist? If she was really nasty, since I am sure you were not an angel on the phone. And for all you other whining fools, instead of trying to get the vets to write you prescriptions to order stuff, and refusing to get vaccines cause they 'are just the vets ripping us off', here is another little piece of advice- If you can't afford to give your pet great care, DON'T GET SO DAMN MANY!
And furthermore, don't wait until the last damn minute to call the vet, then get all pissed off when they won't drop everyone else to 'fit you in'. Somebody said the puppy was coughing up blood. Well, did that go on for days or was is brand new? No vet hospital is perfect, just like there is no perfect pet owner or client. Stop your #####ing and take some responsibility. If it is not an emergency, they don't HAVE to fit you in, and interupt the schedule they have worked out, and make everyone else who had a legit. appointment have to wait.
And you can keep your stupid red karma, I turned the damn thing off!

Through the posts that I have read, each of these people have been around animals long enough to know what is an emergency and what is not. If you have been with a Dr. for that long (or really not) then if they cannot fit you in at least make a effort to find an alternate care in these cases. Yes, we all know that many people have made their appointments a head of time.

But much like any other Doctors office, in the case of an emergency, (or suspected emergency) they make accommodations and fit them in. Sure they would have to rearrange the other appointments but 10 to 1 those people would understand, knowing it could be them one day needing immediate care.

As for people coming in here to post, they have every right to voice their opinions, good and bad. The owners of these establishments know that positive remarks are nice, but negative criticism to has it value, it will help them fix problems and learn where their weakness are to better serve in the future.

Before you go running your mouth based on a few posts, do your research. All these people in here, know more about this then you ever will.

The way I feel about shots has got nothing to do with somebody coming on here and get people upset and bashing the vet hospitals. I have dogs and I take the very best care of them. My vet gives me advice, based on his latest learning, and I make my own decisions. My comment was that if you can't afford what is best, don't overload your household. That is off the point. You all in these counties should be glad you have so many vets to choose from. Stop acting like spoiled little kids.

In these counties? WTF? I see how you danced around her question. Another loud mouth that cash the check you wrote.

Are you kidding me? I AM MAKING unfounded accusations? Can you read? What is this whole stupid thread about?

If you are gong to be a MPD, then at least make an effort. You come in here running your mouth and have not backed up anything. NOT ONE WORD.

Dr. Dorsey, Dr. Ramsey, Dr. Hocking, Dr. Neuman, Dr. Cunningham, Dr. Runde, Dr. Lisas, Dr. Parks, Dr. Fox, Dr. Buck, Dr. Johnson, Dr. Miller, Dr. Molesworth, to name a few. All good people, been around alot longer than you punks.

Not Dorsey..saw him slap a dog on the exam table..back-handed it.
A cocker mix..would not sit still..so Bill Dorsey slapped (hit) the dog...
Know for a fact that he reuses syringes and needles..staff wash the syringes and needles and place a whole bunch on a tray and auto-clave them..and resues them..wants to save money.
Learned that he did that and never went back there again.
Ramsey is nice..and a good doc who uses brand new syringes...

Oh man, did anyone report that? What a horrid thing to do to the animals people put their trust in to care for.

I go back to the office Monday so I can set you guys up anytime. He is sooooo good. I have never met a doctor that it actually a "real person". You know what I mean? Not job is beneath him. He willl mop the floor just the same as I will. I HIGHLY recommend him. I could tell you some stories I've heard about other vets......................................

That was a ong time ago..
Was reported and the staff member got fired for some "stupid" reason.
Not a lot of people liked him..
He went thru Docs and staff more than other vets in the area.
He sold the practice,,and new vet, Ramsey is great.!!!
He still practices from time to time.

MASH is great too..expensive, but great. Saved may cat from a nasty cancer..gave him many more months before the cancer took over.

Guess it comes down to assuming the role of pet owner as one assumes the role of a parent..accidents happen and without insurance, medical tratment is costly and sometimes hard to find.
Part of finding a good vet is how well you get along with them, in addition as to how they get along with your pet..be it a mouse or a horse.
