Has anyone installed one themselves who can tell me what measurements I should consider? They all seem to be standard sizes, but I see a few that are more tall than wide, it seems.

I'm pretty sure it's a matter of sliding the old out, disconnecting the hoses, connecting the hoses to the new machine, and sliding it in. If there's more to it than that, someone please speak up.
Should be all there is to it.. but some are hardwired in, some are plugged in.. Shouldn't be too difficult.. measure the depth of your cabinets, and the width of your current machine.. worse that can happen is you destroy your kitchen or burn down your house.. go for it!! :yay: :yay:

The kind who has his own digs and lets me make decisions about mine ... just the way I like 'em. :yay:

Seriously, though ... he's offered to help with the installation. But this isn't rocket science. I'm the one paying for it so I will get what I want, while considering the input/suggestions of others.

And just zip it Kwillia ... now that Tater's posting again, he'll bring his smartmouth self in here slinging some sort of shiat about me and housework and appliances and projects, and I'll have to throw his porn surfing in his face, and it'll all just end up a nasty, bitter mess in Fight Club. Surely, we don't want that now, do we? :really:

When your hard drive is partitioned to a 10/90 % split, with the latter dedicated to smut ... well, you get the picture.

Used to like it.. when the drivers actually had stories other then "Graduated from such and such a college.. " or "Jr, the son of Sr.. " and drove cars you could actually go to the local dealership and buy..

I prefer Formula One to NASCAR anyday.. at least their steering wheels turn both directions..

I wanted to report back that I ended up getting the Frigidaire Gallery Series GLD2250RDC. If you're looking for a good dishwasher with all the typical functions you'll want, good load capacity/design, tall tub design, won't break the bank (about $375), and is fairly quiet, this one fits the bill. We'll see how it performs over the long haul. :yay:
