Charles County is closed. Code red for employees.

No word on St. Mary's. Federal Gov't 2 hour delay. Does that include Pax River? I think I'll go back to bed.

The cops on the scanner (ST.Mary's) are saying that the streets are getting worse by the minute. They are in the golden Beach area, traffic down to one lane alternating the flow.

No delays for Pax I just drove in from Ridge and roads are wet and heavy rain. Don't know about any icy conditions yet...

SMCPS need to update their website before they start doing the call backs. The information superhighway moves a little quicker than an automated dialler. The delay was announced on the scanner @ 0557.

:coffee: Good day to stay home regardless of what the bosses say.
That goes double for the school board.
Everybody take a meme day.

St. Mary's will close before the morning's over. It's only supposed to get to 29 degrees. Enough for the salt to work, but not by much. They won't be able to get the sidewalks clear at the schools in time.

You could ice skate on my driveway...it's gravel btw....

I'm going back to bed. :snooze:

Sounds like a lot of problems w/ trees and lines down up in the northern end of St. Mary's, Charles just sounds like there aren't enough chainsaws for all the trees down. Lights flickering a bit out in the 7th.

I left my house in Mechanicsville at 5 and it was bad. Icy roads, tree branches every where and power lines very low. I got a lot better when I got closer to Pax.

From Route 5 in Leonardtown to Great Mills Road to Pax - roads were wet --- but fine - do not know about the side roads - but I made it to work
