Do you believe in God?

I believe in God, but not the rituals associated with the Religion of their being a god.

Jesus felt the same way:

Matthew 15:1-9

Then Pharisees and scribes came to Jesus from Jerusalem and said, "Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? They do not wash (their) hands when they eat a meal." He said to them in reply, "And why do you break the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition? For God said, 'Honor your father and your mother,' and 'Whoever curses father or mother shall die.' But you say, 'Whoever says to father or mother, "Any support you might have had from me is dedicated to God," need not honor his father.' You have nullified the word of God for the sake of your tradition. Hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy about you when he said: 'This people honors me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me; in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines human precepts.'"

And Matthew 23:16

"Woe to you, blind guides, who say, 'If one swears by the temple, it means nothing, but if one swears by the gold of the temple, one is obligated.' Blind fools, which is greater, the gold, or the temple that made the gold sacred? And you say, 'If one swears by the altar, it means nothing, but if one swears by the gift on the altar, one is obligated.' You blind ones, which is greater, the gift, or the altar that makes the gift sacred? One who swears by the altar swears by it and all that is upon it;one who swears by the temple swears by it and by him who dwells in it; one who swears by heaven swears by the throne of God and by him who is seated on it.

We All Know God Exsist

We all know God exist.
You see a painting you know there was a painter, you see a building you know there was a builder. You see creation and you know there had to be a creator due to the logic, order and complexity of everything. Just look at all the nerves going to the human eye. If we evolved how is it we have a pair of eyes, elbows knees, ears, why not just one? How is it our veins are underneath the skin and not on top if left to chance?

Reason to we all have a conscious, some ignore it or stifle it but if you tell a lie most feel guilty. Your conscious tells you ever time you break one of Gods Moral Laws the 10 commandments. Even cannibals no its wrong to eat someone or sleep with another’s wife.

Its amazing though how many people create idols though by creating a God of there own image or liking. My God would never send anyone to hell or I don’t believe that God would.... their right their God never would, they created a God in there own mind to suit themselves but its not the one true God of the Bible.

So the question is IF God judges you by his Moral Law the 10 commandments.
Ever tell a lie? What’s that make you (liar) All liars shall have their part in the lake of fire!
Ever steel anything no matter its value in you whole life? (thief)
Ever use the lords name as a cuss word or casually (blasphemer)
Ever look at anyone with lust? The Bible says God reads your heart and considers that adultery
Ever get unjustly angry with someone again reading your heart (murder)
Ever disobey your parents?

Would you be innocent or Guilty?

Keep in mind if you so much broke one you’re not perfect and God cant be in the presence of sin so where would you spend eternity?

Have you repented (turned from your sin)? Asked forgiveness of it? Do you believe that God died on the cross as a payment for that sin? Are you born again? Have you died to self? Or did you just make a profession of faith at some point and your life and never changed? Do you look the same as the world, or can they tell you’re in it, but not a part of it. Are you reading your bible daily? Sharing your faith on a regular basis? Is God # 1 in your life?
Do you fall into sin or dive in headfirst?
Unless a man is born again he cannot enter the kingdom of Heaven

There is only one true God

I grew up catholic before coming to my senses.
Some questions/concerns always come up for me:

1. If there was a God, why are there so many different religions?
Copy Cats, but if you don’t believe that, all the rest are dead
Buddha, Mohamed, Christ is the only one to ever return from death and still be living today. Over 567 people saw Christ walking the earth 500 in one sitting.
History scholars like Josephus recorder it and some roman scholars as well!
Another thing to consider all the rest requires that you do some work to earn your way into heaven and there is no guarantee that you ever made the mark.
Christianity does not and you know now


Who is right? Are they all wrong? Science always explains things in a logical way for me.

If you start with the Bible science is in total agreement if you start the other way with science its hard to align. Also the Bible taught scientific principles of which science was passed on plus Sir Isaac Newton and a host of scientist throughout history were Christians!

2. Organized religion helped bring order to chaos by instilling fear on to people. On a good note, it fosters somewhat decent morals by promoting faith and kindness.
3. I have seen religion at its best and at its worst. More of the latter than the former.

Keep in mind, as long as Man is involved so it’s always going to be less than perfect. There’s good and bad in everything Sadly though many have committed atrocities in the name of religion a lot less in the name of Jesus Christ!
