Do you keep reading material in your bathroom?

But I'm watching Breaking Bad again and just saw the episode where Hank finds Walt's Leaves of Grass on the back of the terlet, along with a bunch of magazines, and it made me wonder how common it is to keep reading material on hand in the bathroom.

I used to.
Before smart phones were a thing.

I have crossword puzzle magazines in there for emergencies.

It's one of the rare places where we can be (almost) assured of peace and quiet.

Not true for the Mom. My kids would always knock on the door wanting or asking something, even when my ex was sitting in the living room. I was taking a quick shower once when my grandson was over and he slid a picture he made me under the door :lmao:

That seems like a thing people do, according to TV shows, plus I've seen magazines and what have you in other people's bathrooms like in a little rack or something.

When I had kids at home I'd take a book in the bathroom and sit on the edge of the tub to read. It was the only place in the house where I could read without being interrupted every 5 seconds. When I have to make a poopie, I just go. Takes maybe 2 minutes.

I typically read & respond to SMC79 from the crapper...it seems fitting

We used to. Books with very short sections - like a book on Urban Legends, or books that explain why we say certain words or if fish sleep. Stuff like that.

Once we HAD kids, books in the bathroom weren't - "safe" - anymore.

Ok, WATER damage. Not THAT.
