Maybe it's just me, but I don't think you should have to tip a person who delivers flowers. Someone is sending me a gift, and I have to tip the delivery guy? Not happening.

I agree.

I agree with you. Unless it's flowers for a party, wedding, that sort of thing, or something you ordered for yourself...

Give me a break, it 12 feet to my front door and takes a total of 2 min. Get over it.
geeze, getting a little defensive that someone called "nomoney" tips more then your cheap ass?

It's more then getting out of their car and walking 12feet - it's saving me from having to cook and drive out. And I guess you forgot the price of gas now and days huh?

wow I must be cheap...I only tip about $5-7 dollars for a hair cut. Grant it, I've never gotten my hair dyed at a hair salon....

Speaking of hair color, can you get semi-permanent (i.e. the dye that "washes out" in about a month) at a hair salon? My hair is naturally brunette and VERY curly and I have dyed it twice with the month long stuff, both times the same color, a medium auburn. Both times I messed up. First too pink, then the next time very streaky...but it eventually washed out to the right color. I just don't want to get my hair permanent dyed...any suggestions???
I thought it was Jabba posting for a minute. She had that av awhile ago. This must be recycled av week.

It suggests tipping for floral delivery, I used to work as a florist and have done numerous deliveries, I next to never was tipped by anyone.

I must be honest, if the flowers are for me I might be too excited to even think of tipping. If the flowers are for someone else I do not tip on behalf of them or their sender.

I think it has a lot to do with who should be responsible for it, which IMO should be the one ordering.

I did when I got my furniture a couple of months. I gave them each $20. Considering how many pieces they carried in and set up, in the COLD rain and through the mud, and how careful they were with the pieces, it was well worth it. :yay:

Now that is true, if they are setting up they should definitely get a tip, and based on the set-up fee if there is one or if they just did it because you asked and it wasn't scheduled.

I did set up my dining room table and chairs (as well as the legs to my 3pc sofa set). It was painful to my hands. I hate screwdrivers. .

Pizza guy likes coming to my house....always give at least $10 and all he/she has to do is drive up in the driveway....sometimes he doesn't even get out of the car

Then again, if I had 5 kids that looked like they hadn't eaten in a week coming toward me....I wouldn't get out of the car either :lmao:

 I guess I need to get a part time job (and hope karma doesn't come back for me). I only give a 10% tip to the driver for pizza or $2 whichever is more. At $10 my bill would have to be $100. I think $5 is generous enough but of course you can't go back now :lmao:

I tip depending on service. The furniture delivery guys that just drop off whatever they were bringing in the foyer and leave, I don't tip. The furniture guys that stick around and help me re-arrange all the rest of the furniture in the room so that it all looks good, I tip. The mirror guys that just stick up the mirror and leave, I don't tip. The mirror guys that hold the mirror against the wall, wait for me to stand back and decide if I like it there, and then humor me when I want to try posing the mirror on a different wall, I tip.

I think I might be sorry to say, but Im realizing that I am really cheap. I have really short hair, takes her 15 min to cut so I only tip 2 bucks and the pizza kid gets a buck and change for getting out of the car.
My hair cut today was $18. I gave the girl $7.00 and put $1.00 in the shampoo girl's jar.....

When you said shampoo girl it got me to thinking. How much should one tip the eyebrow waxer when the eyebrow wax cost $7? I give her a dollar but she has no tip jar so it makes it awkward. I have only been to her twice.

I have no idea. I do my own. I would not pay anyone to inflict that kind of pain......

You are right, I go for the comical act the asian lady does. When she wants me to close my eyes she says "Sleep" and then when I grew my brows back she told me that the reason she couldn't shape them alike was because they had same mother different father. Her rendition of the Bath Fitters theme song was priceless.

I usually tip $3 for a $10 wax. But they call it "shaping" and it involves a lot of plucking...and I don't even have unruly brows.
