Anyone have one? Do you like it?

How about work on one. Any issues?

Is the CVT too new to be reliable yet? Or is it a good bet for the increased mileage?

I have been looking at those also. I heard that dodge might be going out of business. Is this true? Someone also said they don't drive smooth or well

A guy at work had one as a rental when he wrecked his, he said he didnt like it. Il have to ask him specific reasons, i remember he said it felt underpowered.

I know they got sold to Cerberus, but i havent heard anything about them going under. I did hear that they are killing the magnum, and the crossfire, along with a few other models.

Confirmed: Chrysler kills Magnum, Pacifica, Crossfire, PT Cruiser cabrio

I found this too,

Chrysler won't be building Dodge Ram in January, idling two plants - Autoblog

Along with this,

Dodge Viper could be sacrificed for new Sebring - Autoblog

Dodge hasn't built anything of caliber since the '71 Charger.

In my humble opinion.

Last month's Road & Track has a comparison between the Caliber SRT and the Mazdaspeed3.

:gossip: they liked the Mazda better

I had a friend who bought one a few months after their debut. It was pretty close to a fully-loaded vehicle and at first he really liked it and always spoke of the great gas mileage it offered. He traded it in a month or two later for a Dodge Ram.

I test drove one. The CVT is something to get used to, but it isn't rough. It drives a lot smoother than my SUV, but it's not a luxury ride.

The mileage is good, which is one of my main reasons to get it. As a daily commuter, I don't need anything super powerful, economy is more important.

I'm still a couple of months from buying, so we'll see what happens.

Dodge going out of business? I'm surprised Ford wouldn't go out first.

Mercedes couldn't afford to keep them.. bleeding money.

Now they are owned by a venture firm that has nothing to do with making, selling or maintaining cars.. just trying to turn a profit.

There will be a lot of Union workers out of jobs, and a lot of Union leaders buying new houses and Jaguars in the next year.

Find out how much faith the car manufacturer has in their own product.

Ask about a lease, and ask what the residual value is at the end of a 3 year lease. If it's less than 50% stay away, it's junk.

I bought one in May.................I'm still trying to convince myself I like it.........compared to my Toyota Camry, the Camry was a luxury ride I wish I still had.

The ride is okay, but adults aren't very comfortable in the back seat, there's not enough leg room. And its a "loud" ride, almost like it's missing some soundproofing in the doors. The gas mileage is good.

My husband has tried to help by getting my windows tinted, and getting windows visors, it helps, and the car is okay, but I certainly didn't get my monies worth. If I had to do it again, I would have kept my Camry, or bought a new Camry. I bought the Caliber for just under $20K, if I even tried to trade it in, I'd only get $14k....................

Thanks. I'm still looking around to. I thought they were so ugly when they came out and now I like them.

I would assume that doing business with Dodge/ Chrysler is going to get worse in the coming years, as the parent company tries to cut costs, and improve profits. Things like spare parts may become harder to find.. customer service may suffer..

How well is a car going to be manufactured when the parent company is only worried about cutting costs? If it takes 30 man hours to build a car today, or they going to find a way to do it in 20? It if takes 320 nuts and bolts to put a car together, are they going to try to do it with 200? (Chrysler has already tried that one).

A lot more to be concerned about than just "The car looks SAweet!" Where is the company going to be when you're 3 years into 6 years worth of payments?
