Does Taylor Gas Co. Have Any Competition?

I'm asking because I just paid 300-some odd dollars for propane. I was running behind a bit with them; I know, shame on me; so when that happens, naturally they won't deliver again until the balance is paid.

Does anybody know of any other propane suppliers that are cheaper than Taylor Gas; if that's possible; or are all the propan suppliers' prices about the same because of market prices? Oh yeah, do they deliver to Piney Point?

they are the cheapest.. how much did you get for 300$ ?

Curious - if you have an outstanding bill how do you intend to pay a new company for a completely new setup? Why not call Taylor and work out a payment plan so you can get the gas you need now and work on paying off their bill?

Hey Brat!!! When did Taylor start that? We have never been charged for tank rental. What is the charge? How big of a tank you have..We only use it for cooking. So if they start getting money hungry I'm going to just use a 20lb bottle and get the propane myself....They are on my crap list anyways. I was home one day and seen the gas truck back up into the driveway. We just had the tank filled. I asked the driver why he was there His answer was I get good reception for my cell here. I went off on him. Told him that if he isn't delivering gas then he's tresspassing and that if I catch him again. I will have the cops take care of it...He hasn't done it again.... I thought what efin nerve. And as far as I know he could have been scoping the place out. Still drivin Blu?:howdy:

Couple of years ago I had some birds build a nest in the flu pipe on my gas furnace. When I attempted to light it got the the big BANG :yikes:
Insurance paid all but a couple of hundred for a new high efficiency furnace, gas bill has only been about $600 for the whole winter.

I thought I said it before. I just paid my outstanding bill, so an outstanding balance is not the issue. It's not even a factor.

When I got my last bill they sent me a little card with a hand-written payment amount which they came up with using some math formula; don't ask me what; and if I return that card, I can take $100-some odd dollars out of my "budget" every month and make a payment. At least that will be a constant. I'm going to return that card tomorrow.

Apologies, you probably did state that and I missed it. So now you're just looking to see if another company has a better deal. I’ve had Taylor for eons w/ no real issues so for better or worse I'll stay w/ them. Now that they’ve automated their billing system they are quick to send out late payment notices. I also learned they’ve always had a tank rental fee for months you are not billed. Previously they were hit or miss applying it and typically didn’t.

Sorry Fred. I wasn't trying to pick a fight. Here's the deal.
When I moved into my place in '96 there was a Taylor Gas Tank in the back yard, so I figured "What the H*ll" and stayed with them. I was just asking if anyone knew of comparative propane prices; just like comparing gasoline prices, say, between Wa-Wa's on Great Mills Road and SHEETZ on the corner of Great Mills and RT 5; the competition thing.

Like I may have said before, Taylor Gas sent me a card with a monthly payment; something like $130.00/month. I'm going to turn that card in tomorrow so at least that way, I'll know another consistent bill; like my house payment; I can budget for.

I have Suburban with 2 100 gallon tanks and pay 89.00 a month.... I don't have to worry about calling when they get low because they never get low
