Dog House needed

My daughter had decided she wants a dog. If someone out there has a dog house they are not using, we would appreciate having it. We would probably need a medium to large house. Thanks for any help.

by the sounds of this post you don't need a dog....i am sure no one has one they are not using as if it was a chair or something else instead of a living breathing thing.....there are people that want children do you have one you are not using?

Apparently some of the people that leave comments on these forums have no life. I have seen many posts before that are just down right nasty. A person should have the ability to post on here without someone making it into something that it is not.

not to mention that there is nothing wrong with an inside-outside dog that has a dog house.

in fact, there really isn't anything wrong with an outside-outside dog that has a dog house.

I think that if you cannot afford a doghouse, perhaps it is not wise to get a dog. Have you priced the cost of a vet visit 2 x year, flea treatment and heartworm meds, not to mention the cost if the dog gets sick or has some issue? We adopted a dog in October. Vet bills and medication have come close to $500 since then.

yes there is

no, there isn't, in fact, i am willing to bet that the mojority of dogs in the world do not live in people houses, they live outside where god intended for them to live.

BTW, the OP never said she couldn't afford a dog house, just that she was looking for one that wasn't being used.

Someone I know just had their dog blow out his other tendon and there goes $1700 more.

Our Lab has had both ACL's replaced before she was 2. Slipped on ice and ruptured one and while healing overcompensated on the good one and blew that out. Crated and doped for almost a year. Thank goodness we don't have children, we wouldn't have been able to afford the bills, plus what the meds cost each month. Glad those days are past and she is a happy 5 year old, but we have to limit her playing.

Just some thoughts before you get an animal to think about, you never know what can happen or how much it will cost.

Just for you information I do know what vet costs are. I currently own 2 cats, one dog, 1 hamster and every year we have 2 goats for 4-H. So before you start condemning someone for trying to make use of something that someone else is not using, you should consider that there are other pet owners out there that enjoy having pets. Maybe someone needs to check out your pets living quarters since you appear to have issues about this.

I have a medium sized one no longer in use.

you can say that all you want, it doesnt change the FACTS that dogs have survived outside for ions and will continue to do so even without help from your pita lovin azz.

I guess its wrong for all those sled dogs to be left out in the cold all the time too?
