Don't get caught nekked in your own home in Utah

I heard this story on WMAL this morning. It seems step-mom and dad were putting up insulation and sheet rock somewhere in their house. So as not to traipes the fiber glass and dust all over the house, they decided to strip down and shower. While baring their goods, the kids walked in. Kids told mom they saw step-mom nekked. Mom reports this to CPS. Mom gets arrested and is charged with lewd behavior.

Apparently Utah has a law that, even if it's accidental, they are not allowed to be seen nude in front of any children, even in their own home. And the father wasn't charged. She faces jail time and 10 years on a sex-offenders list.

Why do people elect people that will pass these kinds of laws, where a mere accident could result in a life ruined?

Here in Maryland it's just as bad.

I've always felt I should be able to dress or undress however I like, in my own home.

And it's not just Government thats' prudish.... UPS and FEDEX won't deliver to my house anymore.

In the story it also mentions she was drunk, and when asked for an excuse she railed that she was a feminist and would show her tits when she wanted to whom she wanted.

I'm not sure why people go "Oh, the kids just accidentally saw her for a second before she ran and covered up" when that's not what either this story or the one from November say happened. This is a fascinating study in media mind control. Both stories lead with "accidentally gets caught in her own home with her boobs hanging out by children", then later in the piece it tells the whole story, yet people are stuck on the headline and disregard the rest.

It's clear, from the news story, that she was running around topless in front of someone else's children, and that she did it willfully and with full knowledge that they would see her. Her "I'm a feminist and will show my boobs if I want" is the giveaway.

What both stories make clear is that this is very much about why men can go around shirtless in public but women can't. THAT is the debate, and both stories are clear about that.

It's frustrating when normally intelligent people are willing to disregard the actual story in favor of the misleading "woman topless in her own home" headline.

And now I'm going to put this thread on ignore because last time this topic came up I was amazed at the ****ing idiocy and wanted to slap the chit out of people. I don't need that in my life.

Kinda like your New Year's resolution to avoid conflict regarding politics?

To quote Dr. Phil..... "Hows that working out for ya'?"

I like to get undressed and lie on a rug in front of a roaring fire in the fireplace. Apparently someone in Cracker Barrel that day was offended and now I'm not allowed back.
