Exactly!
Biker safe driving class 101;
If you're new to bike riding, stay away from high traffic roads.
Never stay next to any other vehicle.
Everyone on the road is a danger to you. Expect them NOT to see you!
Class over.

I do what I can to try and stay safe...
I try to not ride beside a car, I assume others can't see me and expect everyone to try and pull in front of me. When I approach a red light, I tap my brake pedal several times, I keep my bike in first gear ready to escape quickly if I need to and I watch the car behind me until it has come to a complete stop. My bike has an added Stebel horn and I find I ride in traffic with my thumb over the horn button, ready to hit it quickly when I need to!

Also, I am amazed at the number of tailgaters I encouter on a bike!!!!! :cussing:

Just ordered the high/low pair of Fiamm highway blaster horns. Hopefully they will mount where the current horns are.

For tailgaters, try weaving back and forth in your lane. Freaks them out and they back off.

Have you seen the guy with the big siren mounted down by the engine? I think its an older honda. That would get someones attention. Kind of illegal though.:lmao:
