Well it's eithr drive to Crofton or buy off the net..

I hate it cause I like like buying from Private, local folks. I hate dealing with Internet suppliers and Franchise operations. Hard enough for a local shop to stay in business nowadays.

Doug's has been a sponsor of the Jet Luge since it's inception and have been great people to work with and promote. I wished the news was not so. If anyone from Dougs reads this, Thank you for your support and having the product when I needed it. I wish you all success in your next venture.

Also a T-Rex 600, 500 450 & a 250

Oh and a Blade 400.

I am all set up here to start buying this stuff next week and now I gotta go online after it.:cds:

I see there normal website is down but if you google them you come up with their online store but I think that is linked to them through Horizon Hobby.

Getting harder and harder to find small, locally owned businesses anymore. I don;t mind higher prices if it keeps a neighbor in business. I "HATE" anything related to a Chain type business or a Franchise but anymore, That is all we are gonna have left if they don't do something.

The american dream is fixing to be history.

Oh man, this really sucks. I have depended on Doug's since before the Hollywood store opened. In the past I would not think twice about driving to Waldorf to pick up much needed supplies and a kit or two. I'm also with the majority here. I hate the chain stores and internet purchasing which involves credit cards, high shipping costs and a long wait for your stuff to arrive, usually damaged. Man this sucks.

I heard there was another one in Waldorf but I am unfamiliar. I am told the next best walk-in shop is in Crofton

My son just told me the biggest shop in Maryland is in Glen Bernie, but who wants to go that far? What a shame Doug's is closing, I can't imagine he was doing bad being the only local shop. My son also told me he saw in an RC magazine that there was a shop on Skip Jack Road in Calvert but when he went by it was closed up.

As someone who use to frequent Dougs I believe that they did it to themselves, its been coming for years.
