My OB circumcised both my boys...But my Pediatrician came to the hospital to check the babies out before we were released. I delivered my kids @ Anne Arundel though and I still drive to Pasadena to take my kids to their Pediatrician.

Does anybody know if he takes Aetna... and do I have to set up an appt to meet him before I have my baby? Dr. Polko's office had me fill out a birth plan & I thought they said they let him know when I have the baby, and he or one of his dr.'s come to the hospital after she's born. I"m already 38 wks.. I know I should have started thinking about this sooner, but I'm always so busy, I kept putting it off..

All you do is tell the hospital which doctor you are using and they will notify the dr's office and they will come and check the baby and give an "ok" to release the baby from the hospital. No prior visit is needed. You can call his office and let them know you will be using them as your newborn's doctor and alert them of the expected due date. Dr. Reed checked my little one out and joked about the outfit I had her in, it was a blanket dress and had tiny little buttons on the bottom, definately difficult for a man to undue, but he was very pleasant.

I've been using Miller for 1.5 years and have been satisfied. If I call in with a question either the nurse or the doctor on call calls back promptly and gives good advice and will even call to check up the next day. I've never tried the other doctors mentioned, my MIL is from this area and used Miller for all 7 of her kids and was happy with him and recommended him so that's who I chose.
